1997 Acura 3.2TL Parts I order is always wrong?
Does anyone else have this issue? Even the book I got is not even close to my motor. I keep thinking I am doing something wrong.
We just had an overheating problem and when I finally found the correct design layout and motor type I had to order from the actual VIN number and still they sent me the wrong parts!! When I go to the auto parts store they pull the part up and get the suggested one and it is ALWAYS wrong!! Then because I am a WOMAN they say NO OH that is the correct part look it shows it right here. I end up having to bring the part EVERYTIME to "SHOW" them it is WRONG!! Is it me or is it them?
BTW I have gone to several different auto parts store this is a constant issue everytime I have to work on the car!! I am so frustrated if I did not LOVE this car and the performance I get out of it I would just sell it !!
There is nothing like driving it.. the way it handles and the way it NEVER drags up mountains, and Interstate driving is smooth, cruise control and road trips!!!
Thank you

Well there are two drivetrains for this vehicle, the 2.5 and the 3.2, the are drastically different. That is the only issue Ive ever had when it comes to getting parts, but never had an issue with a dealer or major parts store. Could it be possible that your vehicle had and engine swap somewhere in its life and the VIN doesnt match the drivetrain? Hence, someone put a 3.2 into a car that was originally a 2.5?
