im looking at this 02 tl type s for $13,000.. has 57k on it and also has a comptech supercharger, has drop springs and brake upgrades.. the guy is the second owner, he bought the car like this.. he said he selling it cuz its too much for his wife to handle. i was wondering what everyone thinks, good buy or bad buy?

dealer might give you crap over supercharger and trans warranty......thing was prolly beat on pretty hard

jus got back checking out the car. some mid 30s couple owns it. i thought they were second owners but car faxed it, they are the fourth owners. car fax came out clean. car has comptech supercharger, comptech headers, comptech catback exhaust, tein ss coilovers with edfc. has rotora front big brake kit and sway bar uprade. they're asking $13,000 obo... car is clean, but im still debating.

Well like stated before, with that supercharger, acura will never honor the tranny warranty. Was the tranny ever replaced? or is it on the original? Too much for his wife to handle??? IDK man sounds funny...I have an 02 type s and my wife would love a supercharger! I mean it all looks good but that whole tranny thing, unless its not important to you..then go for it.

im tryin to find out more info on it. so we'll see.. i found this link that the guy fixed up his tl in georgia.. the car fax shows the 1st owner from georgia too. so imma try to see whats up. most his mod list has almost everything done to the car that i saw today.

Im new too the TL scene I just got a 03 type S comptech supercharged.From what i heard if u have comptech supercharger it makes it under warrenty since its through Acura just like TRD does for toyota.

ive decided not to get it. i've got in touch with the first owner that did all the mods to the car. found out it has the mdx block with some JE pistons. type s head was ported n polished. he did alot of work to the motor. he got the tranny rebuilt too. but in my head, i dont know how long it would really last.

Good choice! </TD></TR></TABLE>I agree, I knew someone who had rebuilt his tranny twice with performance internals and the damn thing still slipped! His ride was an 02 tl-s and was supercharged as well. Coming from an acura tech, those tranny's are the worst things ever designed.
