Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to TL's, but are there any differences with the TL's from 04-08? Kinda like how the TSX changed up a bit from 04-05 to 06-08.

There are a few slight design changes, some even mid year, like the AT update toward the end of '05. The more appearance related design changes are 04-06, 07-08.
04 through most of '05 had some sort of AT trans issue/fix. If you google for it you can find the recall/fix.
Just to name a few:
05+ has redesigned leather seat covers to minimize butt creases in the leather, ect.
06+ has the TPMS tire press monitoring system.
07+ has the fogs in the lower bumper, turn signals in the side mirrors, different rim design.
IMO stay away from the 04-05 Auto Trans. Or, don't bother with the AT at all. The 6 speed model is the better drivers car. It comes with slightly different susp, nice Brembo front brakes, ect. 05+ 6 spd with Navi is the model to go for.

whats up guys, im thinking bout purchasing a 2004 or newer TL, anybody got any compliants bout that model?
