As far as I know, the Dc5 is out of production becuase Acura feels as though it's not up to par. It doesn't meet Acura's expectations and standards as a luxury division in Honda.
that's just what I've heard

you are so incorrect.
the tsx is a completely different platform. most notably the tsx uses double wishbones up front over the RSX vastly inferior macphereson struts.

correct! I love how you're always "in the know." Saves me alot of typing.
TSX is the Euro-R Accord Looks pretty damn sexy too, but even the Japanese won't say its a real Type-R

I said I don't want a title!
Re: (giff74)
Dealer just told me that the last order was placed for the 06 RSX's. Production will continue for another few months (all USDM market info).
So you'll see them still rolling into dealerships for a little while.

I know the last order was just placed by the dealer I went to. They were probably wrong on the production still taking place, though.
But they were confident you'd still be able to get a new one for the next several months.

Re: (Todd00)
The Civic is replacing the RSX. The new Civics are more upscale and more expensive. The Fit will take up some of the lower end niche that the Civic had...business...

Yep, that sounds right. You can still get them and will till supply runs out, but this is it for the Integra in the USA Sad, but hey, at least we have a collectable now!

the new civics are not more upscaLe or expensive????? mabey after the mark up on the new Si its a LiL more expensive....i think honda is done with the integra for a whiLe.....just Like wat toyota did with the supra, 1998 was the Last year and toyota is bringing it back now...

That was the problem with the RSX - it wasn't upscale/expensive enough for the Acura lineup. Honda thinks the Civic Si (with its LSD and GPS and stuff) will take the place of the RSX in the tuner market, since it's about the same price, and everyone else will be satisfied with the 2-door TSX.
If Toyota brings back the RSX like Toyota is going to do with the Supra (which, as of yet, isn't 100% confirmed), I hope they bring it back as a direct competitor to the WRX. All-wheel drive sport coupe with the K23... hotness. Not to mention the name RSX seems made for it.

The 200hp Civic Si retails for about the same as a base 155hp RSX...(if you are quick, you already know where this is going...) With Navi (how many "economy" cars do you know of offer Navi?) and "summer tires" its about $1500 less than a Type S. When you have a Civic that performs equally and will sell better than a RSX will...well, what do you think the smart business decision is?
If you haven't noticed the Civic has gotten bigger and more expensive with each incarnation. Its grown up now and its taking over the niche that the RSX filled. The Civic has gotten more upscale and more expensive...this leaves a void in the entry level lineup of Honda...enter the Fit...get it? Business...

um the base came with a 160hp, 141ft.lbs.tq k20a3 i-VTEC motor
The Fit is ****** retarded lookin. The RSX had a way more upscale interior; base or not, compared to the civic.

You're both right. The initial specs are 160hp, 141ft-lbs of torque, but under revised SAEnet calculations, it's actually only 155hp
I agree the RSX has a nicer interior. I'm personally not a fan of the double-decker interior in the Civic.
Like I said, Honda thinks the Civic Si will satisfy the car guys, and the 2-door TSX will keep everyone else happy.
