Yeah, those kits are a complete waste of money. I've heard stories about ebay manifolds cracking within the same week of installation. Try searching.

Re: (RudyCholo)
check out http://www.westcoast-turbo.com they have a decent selection of turbos, intercoolers, bov's,wastegates, turbopiping,e cu's,etc.
get a t3t04e turbo - 489$
Stage 3 intercooler -195$
buy your turbo piping from somewhere else because they dont have turbo piping for the rsx applications.
you could get a ssqv style BOV for 89$ or you could get the HKS SSQV for 229$ from another website.
Tial 38mm wastegate for around 650-700$ depends where you look
and buy your manifold elsewhere because theyre out of stock at westcoast-turbo.com

Re: Turbo charging an 02' RSX (wernhersey)
No cheap way to go about turbo'ing these cars and don't go w/ an ebay kit. The turbos are garbage, manifolds crack, and you will be modifying/cutting for weeks to install that junk.
Cheapest way is to grab a greddy turbo kit, upgrade to K-pro, upgrade to stainless steel oil lines (an absolute must! fast-turbo sells them), K pro boost control solenoid and your set.
There is a decent kit for sale now on clubrsx in the for sale forums

Thanks alot. I didn't think that the ebay kits were worth a damn but I figured I would ask, this kid is a noob and he thinks that its just a simple bolt on. Well I guess I will see if I can change his mind and go from there. Thanks again

Can anyone tell me a little bit about this kit. I realize that ebay turbos are not very good but this is what the kid wants to do so I said I would help him. I just wan't to know about how much hp this kit will give him and about how much boost is this turbo good for. The article says 375hp or something but i know thats bullshit. If someone could help out it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks again for the help. Ps. can anyone tell me where these manifolds crack, and if it is possilbe to fix them before they brake. Thanks

it will probably start cracking along the welds. sure you can weld it shut, but why bother? it'll just crack again. those manifolds are made like crap. tell your friend he's an idiot and if he's going to do that to an RSX he's better off running it off a cliff. i wouldn't know how much that turbo can handle, dont' know anyone with an ebay turbo on their car

I realize this, but its his car and his money. I just told him that I would help him as a friend and can't guarentee anything. He is planning to sell the car after the turbo install, don't know why or anything I'm just there to help and maybe learn a little something, Like why not to buy an ebay turbo. Thanks for the help guys.

Those kits are garbage... search around in the FI forum and you'll see what kind of parts you receive.
If he wants to go turbo and do it right the first time, he better plan on spending at least $4k for a good kit, EMS, fueling upgrades, and tuning.

bump, If this kid is only going to be running 5psi how long do you think this engine will last without the kpro. Assuming that the turbo holds up.
