Default SRS reset

Would someone drop me a link to an SRS light reset? I just installed the Type R steering wheel and I need a reset procedure. I tried one with a paperclip but was unsuccessful. Any and all links. Thanks.

The dealership will test it and if the cause of the SRS light is recalled they will reset it free. If the cause is not recalled you must pay for the test.

Pretty much BS if you ask me.

Wait, did you actually hook up the airbag??

if you didn't, reseting it won't do anything

The following site has videos with instructions on resetting your srs light, airbag light, maintenance required light and much more. Very usefull site. I made it my homepage and am always on top of things with my vehicle. The site also offers an easy way to search for cars, parts, insurance and much much more.

Check it out at

Why is it BS? Do you work for free? Do you have tools provided to you free of charge?

i work in car audio, and sometimes when we unplug stuff, airbag lights get set off. try this, disconnect both battery terminals, positive and negative, then hold the terminals together (remember disconnected from the battery). hold the wires together for about a minute. this drains the capacitator in the vehicle, and most times it will reset any light that may be on. but make sure nothing is connected to the battery, or it will be bad!

I work at an Acura dealer and I must agree 100%. I don't understand where people get off thinking everything is just free.

Your best option is to just go to your local dealer and just ask nicely. Believe it or not there are service advisors who want to help you and not just wonk you over the head. Worse case you walk out of there knowing your options.
