Shifter not returning to neutral?
Does anyone know how to fix this? Whenever I shift out of gear, the shifter will stick to the left or right instead of returning to neutral (right in between 3rd & 4th) gear.
It's annoying because I have to be careful when upshift out of 2nd and into 3rd gear. I accidentally shifted into 5th because the stick never return to neutral.

Re: Shifter not returning to neutral?
check your spark plugs??? what does that have to do with the shifter??? Please keep your stupid answers to yourself!!!
Maybe the bushing in the shifter are messed up or maybe the shifter cable... honestly not sure just shooting some ideas! I know its not tranny related. I'll see if maybe Bense has any suggestions!

Do you have a CAI? Check that your intake isn't binding with any linkage up under the hizzy.
Otherwise I know there's a spring in the shifter that returns it to center... pop out the center console and inspect this spring.

Re: Shifter not returning to neutral?
he think spark plugs are make and model specific and unless you get spark plugs for that make and model, it will not work or will destroy your car. He still haven't given me a timeline as to when my car is going to die or blow up due to me installing spark plugs that was bought a while ago for a nissan 300zx. He swear that it's made specifically for the 300zx and will not work with the RSX. My car will blow up soon according to him.
Cross reference the spark plug numbers and make sure they match Pretty unlikely that they would be the same...
