searched: Lowering on Tein S-techs and stock shocks, do you need a camber kit?
Hey guys,
Been doing some searching for my cousin who has a 03 RSX-S. He wants to lower it now with stock shocks. He want to know if he needs to get a camber kit. I have the s-techs on my 93 Accord without a camber kit. I once read that you don't need a camber kit unless the drop is over 2". Is this true for the RSX's as well? Any opinion is useful. I know this topic has probably been covered but I don't have too much time to look at in depth. He pretty much decided on the S-techs because of the good reviews on ClubRSX.com. Thanks.

alright well, no matter what if you lower it, or modify the height at all on a vehicle it will mess with the camber, toe, castor. but they say you really dont need a camber kit unless your lower than 2 in. becuase the camber doesnt really wear the tire down that much at all, with such an insignificant drop, but its really up to your friend, if he wants a camber kit or not. if he is worried about his tires, and not actually about his suspension geometry than i'd say no, wait until later when you lower it more.

^ thanks, I believe that's what I need to hear. I was pretty sure that 2" is the mark but I have very little knowledge of new cars. Didn't know if things are different.
Any one have expereince with or pics of the tein settup?

Don't "slam that bitch."
Changing the ride height will definitely mess with suspension geometry, and depending on what your friend wants to do with the car (daily drive or autocross), having adjustable camber would be a really nice thing.

I know these are two different cars but, If those S-Techs affect your guys' cars like it did my DA, expect for the 2" drop (which is what it gave my car, and I know yours might be different) and then some.
My car right now is borderline 3" total.. The springs sagged fyi. Tein guarantee's you that they wont settle but mine did. I'm thinking about calling them up and dispute this with them.
Point of my posting here is to let you know that they might sag a little lower than the advertised drop.
