Rsx-s Daily?
Looking to buy an 05 rsx as my daily commuter. I drive about 70 miles a day most in heavy traffic. My concern is, if i settle for a base model, would i regret not getting the S? The car will REMAIN STOCK and will see the track a few times. Will not be competetive track time, only for my pleasure and to have some fun. Another issue i see is with the suspension. Edmunds, Car and Driver, Motor Trend rate this car as well handling. Is the issue with suspension only when it comes to moding and fine when left alone? Any input/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you WILL regret it. Just get the Type-S
It is all around a much better start. If you lower the car slightly it's amazing. If you dump it you run into problems and need inverted tie rod ends and etc. But a little drop makes the car sit perfect and handle amazing.

Definitely just go for the S. I've never driven a base, but when the decision came to spend money on a new car, the Type S was the only option. And the handling is very nice from the factory. 05-06 have a bit different suspension setup from the 02-04. But get an 05-06 because 05-06>02-04 and everyone knows this!

If I was going to get a RSX instead of my EP I would definitely go with the Type-S. Definitely worth the extra money. I don't think you'll find anyone in the world that has a Type-S that would say damn, I wish I got the base model.

get the rsx-s. If you get the base, you will regret it. Theres only one base owner I know thats happy with it, and thats only because he did intake/raceheader/exhaust/kpro/6speed tranny/ and rbc manifold.

Definitely go with the Type S, All around Great power, Driving Experience, luxury w/ Power, long run great return on investment. Besides Rsx's Base or Type S are alot of money anyways. Might as wel cough up the extra money eh???
I drive an 05 NBP Type S stock, way faster then my 04, and 02 Type S's Modded w/ Bolt ons.

honestly if you are going to be driving in heavy traffic for long periods of time i wouldnt buy the rsx-s...they are fun to drive and they do have great handling stock and they can have better handling with minor aftermarket mods...but i would get sick of shifting every fives seconds in traffic...that is one of the only things i hate about driving a standard car...when you get stuck in traffic it sux ***** but if you dont mind that then go for it...my 2 cents

RSX-S is a great car. Handles pretty well for a stock car but I don't think as well as some of the people are stating in this thread. I thought the car had too much body roll stock. One thing that becomes a pain in the *** in traffic is a 4.77 final drive along with a 6-speed. Enjoy shifting. Still, there are times when I miss mine. Especially with the potential of a K-series now vs then.
