Default RSX AC question

For of all i am sorry if this is a "stupid question". But when i drive with the AC off i get great gas millage. But when the Ac is on it cuts my millage in half. I was wondering if that was normal for an RSX.

yes, however according to Doug @ Hondata at full throttle the a/c compressor is disengaged so there's less drag and you don't find yourself turning off the a/c to pass another car
