Default Noisy Power Steering DC5 05 Integra

Hi Everyone,

I'm experiencing now a loud noise coming from my power steering, worst when in full lock left or right. My Mechanic says that the Upper High Pressure Hose may be the problem and that air has gotten into the system and needs to bleed out the air. BTW the pump is fine.

The genuine hose is like 250US$ amazing!

The hose now has no leaks. So replace with new hose to stop the awe-full winding noise or just bleed out he air??

Anyone have thoughts or had this problem before??

Thanks - Dunks

Bleed it first. Always try the simple stuff first.

We've had a TON of v6 accords with noisy p/s pump, especially in cold weather. The problem is the inlet o-ring #11 91345-RDA-A01, so i'd try that first.

Well I took the car to a power steering specialist and it turns out it was not the high pressure hose but the pump was bad and some seals in the Rack & Pinion needed changing- cost me a pretty penny but it feels great now.

Thanks again for your feedback

I could be wrong but isn't the power steering system ventilated at the reservoir? Unless you have Electronic P/s, which I don't have much experience with. I would guess it a bad Ps pump. if you come to conclusion thats what it is I have a spare one in perfect working condition.
