s100? i thought that was for b,d,&h series engines. do you mean k-pro? also, the exhaust camshafts won't work w/o the a2 head. the "squirters" are the oil squirters to keep the cylinder heads cool. those are tapped into the block.

you should learn something before ordering parts that wont fit. and s100 is not for our cars buddy.

Re: k20a3 w/ihe type s pistons, camchafts and valve springs (Civic Hatch Boy)
the only thing i've ordered is the type s pistons, they should be here soon, but i havent ordered anything else yet ive just been lookin but i thought the s100 could be used for the k20a3 without boost. i was under the impression that you could get away with buying the 100 instead of the 900 something dollars on the s200. so apperently i need a type s head for any of that type s stuff. so i dont really have the paper for all that stuff basically ive got about 1500 to spend and want to get the most horsepower for my money but at the same time keeping it safe. i'd rather keep it non aspirated than any of this turbo **** thats gonna blow up my engine. thanx for the tips guys keep em comin

Rob it's Joe with the blue si, if you plan on spending 1500$ you should just save up a little more buy a blower, all that other **** is gonna be a pain in the *** plus cost madd money if you ain't installing it yourself. Plus you'll get better power yield from the blower. I saw one on ebay the other day for 2,000.

Re: (Civic Hatch Boy)
yeah, the lobes on the A2 camshafts don't line up with the rocker arms on the A3's head, so you're not going to get that to work.
also, the S100 is not compatible with the k-series. you'll have to go with the hondata flash or k-pro if you want to mess with the ECU.
like civic hatch boy said, if you really want A2 parts, go with the head swap. it's relatively inexpensive and will get you to about 170-ish whp ... that's a whole lot more realistic than the set up initially suggested by you.

Dude... not trying to be a dick, but how the hell can you go around and order parts for a car if you dont even know what the hell you are doing??? Did you research anything at all??? You also should re-read your statement up above.
Tool.

$1500 can get you a full K24A longblock with accessories on eBay. The 30 wtq improvement you'll see with that will make a helluvalot more difference than the 30 whp you'd get from the A2 head.
**** messing around with internals on the wimpy-*** A3: just go bigger and beefier and then you can do all you want, but you'll be starting with a much better platform.

lol that's a contradictory statement ahhaha... turbo doesn't blow up your engine if you tune it well, it just eats up your wallet lol.
and the oil squirters's lines run through the block, much simpler to just get an a2 engine from the get go.

sounds like you need to do a HELLA lot of research before you even spend another penny. read everything you can on the k-series engine and find out what you are getting yourself into before you even buy the parts.
if you think its too much work, sell those pistons you just bought and get some shop to install a turbo or supercharger once you save up more money.
