Default Grudge match- 00ITR vs. 03Type S (Part 2)

Hey guys. Some of you guys may remember the orginal post of ITR vs Type S back in december. Read orginal post first!!
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1831981

Well, my cousin with the Type S recently got some BFGoodrich G-Force Tires!! Now no more crappy tires, which is a big reason to why he lost before. He also upgraded to the K-Pro and also got it tuned. The ITR is pretty much kept the same as back in december, I/H/E, but he too also got some Nitto 555 extreme tires. Also, remember guys, he is an amazing driver!! Anyways, my buddy, cousin and I are heading back to IDY raceway this weekend. Its going to be best out of 5 again like the show Pinks. Loser is buying dinner again at Gibson Steakhouse! My cousin lost last time, but this time hes got more goodies on his car so well see. Who would you guys ben on now?? Ill keep all of you updated

having k-pro makes the launches even harder to control
if he gets a lot of practice with it then i'm sure he can get around 13.6-7
roll/highway races are dc5 all the way
i do love a clean itr

Depends on the skill of your cousin ... if he is good too then maybe he can win ...

if this was the situation then hasport has to be making mounts for dc5 and ep3 guys to put b series motors in and not the other way around.

Well, that's part of the problem, but the other part is all of the wiring that would have to be redone, and in Cali a 'backwards' swap is illegal.

Plus the heavier chassis EP3 and DC5 needs the larger displacement K.

I never knew that in 2000 white Type R's were made for the USA. They were not available afer 98. correct me if im wrong. Or he could have just repainted his yellow or black type R to champ white....who knows..???

i have beat a 98 type-r with i/h/e and a decent set of nitto tires.

my setup aem intake, buddy club spec IV exhaust, toda clutch, toda flywheel, toda timing chain tensionor, and kuhmo escta mx tires.

i beat the type-r by 2 car lengths the first race with a decent launch, and 2 and a half car lengths with a better launch.

The 00 and 01 ITRs are faster than the 98.

go for some autox. If he's a good driver then he's be a lot more faster than you.

You shouldn't even compare cars on car-specific threads haha. If you ask the same questions on the itr forums it'll be directly opposite
