Full-Race Kit arrived for the EP3
Took a little trip up to P1 Auto over the weekend to pic up my Full-Race turbo kit ... the kit looks great and I am looking forward to installing it on the car. Installation will happen over the next couple months while I wait for other parts to show up (Buddy Club ProSpec Exhaust, Hondata K-Pro, Clutch/Flywheel). Here are a few pics for now ...

The kit retails for $4800 direct from Full-Race ... I did a little better than this by ordering the kit through my friend's shop!
I would like to hit the 280-300 whp mark ... I really don't know what to expect for power really ... no one has put this kit on a dyno to see how it performs on an EP3. I heard a mixed bag of stories talking about flow issues with the EP3 and you shouldn't expect to make over 300 whp ... so we will see what happens once I get everything installed and tuned. I do know the car is going to be a lot more fun to drive though

Wow... Is your engine K20A3? I can't really tell.
That is one nice looking kit, I've always had a thing for a Full Race Top Mount, haha
I'm definately looking forward to some results!

I'm thinking though... Are there any Forged Internals for the A3? I've only seen them for A2, I could definately be wrong, but I'm unsure.
What are your long term plans for your EP3?

Right now just want to build a boosted EP3 daily driver ... nothing too crazy, just wanted a good quality build that would be reliable ... so I went with the best kit on the market in my opinion and I am going to have it installed and tuned by the best honda tuner I know.
Long term ... once I am satisfied with the engine build move onto other aspects of the car ... suspension, wheels/tires, aero ... other than that ... nothing really planned that far in the future.
As far as I know ... no one has this kit on an EP3 ... I wanted to do something no one has done so far.

Re: Full-Race Kit arrived for the EP3 (FullEP3)
Everything about full-race tells me their products = teh sex, and while I appreciate your wanting to do something a little different, I can't help but think you may have spent a LOT more than necessary.
First off, any of the existing kits for the EP can safely hit the 280-300whp mark, albeit not necessarily right out of the box. Tuning and a good EMS are key.
Secondly, the flow issues with the EP3 head are well known, so trying to get much more out of the stock block isn't going to be met with much success for a daily driver. This is also why it is pointless to build the block for boost. Oh, and it lacks a counter-balanced crank, and block oil-squirters.
Third, that price for the Full-Race kit does NOT include an EMS!! Add K-Pro and now you're looking at close to 5800!
Now, just to reiterate, I'm not clowning on you for buying this kit, as I have no doubt it's probably worth every last penny, but for your modest power goals, I just think it might be overkill. Having said that, though.. if you ever decide you want more power and get an A2 engine to build up, then I'm sure the full-race kit will prove every bit worth its weight in gold.
