EP3 Type R Gauge Cluster?!
I need anyones JDM expertise on this. I browsed ebay for a jdm ep3 civic r gauge cluster and found one with 260 km readings and redlines only up to exactly 8000 rpm's! The only other ep3 civic r that I know of that runs up to 8000 rpm's is the U.K version one. This guy from Thailand claims that this is a real JDM ep3 cluster, I don't know.....but I heard alot of good fake stuff comin' from 3rd world countries.....so I'm not sure on this one, I am a jdm nut and need this one to get straightened out!!! Thanks.......

That is not a JDM CTR cluster but it is a CTR cluster.
The JDM CTR cluster will have only KMs up to 190 KM/H and a redline of 8500 and a max RPM of 9500. This cluster will only have KM/H and will not have MPH on it
The CTR cluster in question is a non JDM CTR cluster from a country in which the CTR came with the K20A2 engine instead of the K20A like it did in Japan.
The other 2 CTR clusters that i know of for the EP3 have either the speedo of 260 KM/H or 160 MPH as the larger number and the other being the smaller number with an 8000 RPM redline and a max RPM of 9500.

Exactly.
Itīs the cluster type that can be found in European CTRs. My German EP3 has it, too.

Although they are rarer, you will still be able to occasionally run across a British CTR gauge cluster, which will have the higher rev limit and be in miles per hour.
Since it's still a generally available part in the UK dealerships, these things will still pop up for sale occasionally, and (if you ask me) these are probably the better choice for driving in the United States.
I had one in my USDM EP3 Si and it worked just fine.

Higher then the 8000 RPM redline or is the one in MPH with the 8000 RPM redline the one ur talking about?
The ones in MPH with the 8000 RPM redline do seem to come up for sale alot on ebay more so then the other Euro one with the KM/H and the 8000 RPM redline and even the JDM one.

The UK gauge cluster hasnīt got the higher rev limit and speed is displayed in both miles and kilometres per hour.

Higher than the USDM EP3 Si. Were we comparing UK CTR to US Si, or were we comparing UK CTR to JDM CTR? Perhaps I wasn't reading carefully.
