Debating on buying an RSX. Im in DC2 Type R denial lately
OK, ive owned a DC2R for about 1.5 years now and i love her. But lately ive been starting to get sick of the car, because that happens with me and cars after about a year.
The Type R is supercharged, runs great, fast, handles like a dream with mugen sway bars and all kinds of rediculous upgrades. There's about 15k invested in the R. So obviously going to an RSX-S would be quite a downgrade until i heavily mod it, if i mod it.
i know even stock for stock the RSX-S is a downgrade from the R, but i am really starting to want an RSX. Everytime i see pictures of them, i want one, it's driving me insane.
So...am i nuts to sell the car ive worked on for a year and a half and finally have it modded to my liking, or should i go with the car that is begging me to own her and sell the R?
plz give me some feedback, or convince me either way. Here are pics of my type R.
BTW, i work in a rough area, that's another reason im afraid about keeping the R. Dont want to see her get stolen or vanadalized.

a lot of random pics, i know
the pics do the car NO justice at all
would i be nutz to sell her to buy a 2002-2004 RSX-S? completely stock and start new?
thanks for looking, and oh ya...im matt, and this is my first real post to the DC5 forum

you wouldnt be crazy but then again keeping the R wouldnt be a bad call. even a dc5 with I/RH/Kpro is good enough for everyday driving and after all the add ons you will be one happy ****

Personally bor I would hold onto your R. Their in a class of their own. You could always consider boosting it or going all-motor and dumping your S/C. The RSXs' are nice, but you've already got so much into the R. Unless you can find an RSX thats also heavily modded like yours, don't get rid of it. Try this link http://www.modifiedcartrader.com. Good luck on your decision.

That's a damn nice car, but c'mon, very close to Type-R?
You don't have the red H or sidemarkers, lol.

yes you would be nuts if you sold that R, that is the sexiest dc2 i think ive ever seen.
i like the rsx and all but man, you should hold onto this car for a bit more.

keep the R man. you will kill yourself at the end if you sell it. if you are bored of it, you can always do a dc2-r front end conversation. if that's not enough, you can always swap a k20a and call it a day. check out aj-racing/j's racing project dc2-r. here's the link:

Re: (HotShotMedic)
i would keep the type r, much more rare, and will probably still hold a better long term resale value then the rsx.
but if you dont care about that stuff, just looks and performance, then i would opt for a rsx. I remember reading a article from road and track, and they did a shoot out with the type r and the 2002 rsx type s, and they were saying they were very much identical in speeds and handling. but the 2005, i am guessing could be a bit faster then the type r.
