Default Civic Si hits 14.7 N/A w/out hondata

wut up peoples...i dont post much but here we go

went to the track tonight with WPB EP3 and his boosted Ep...his quest for 12s w/out slicks hit a few obstacles tonight, but i hit a milestone!

ive broken my previous record of 14.9@ 91.85....

Ive been practicing my launch and shifting alot recently....I think ive finally learned the ins and outs of the car....

previous to tonight i had hit a 14 second 1/4 mile only once (14.980@91.85)...

tonight on my first run i hit a 15.1@92 and never looked back

all the runs that followed were in the 14s on my second run i got a low 14.9 then hit three consecutive 14.7's....i was running out of gas so i left the track and filled her up and ran some more.....got back and stayed in the 14s the rest of the night a couple more 14.9's an a few 14.8's. I had a total of 9 consecutive 14 second runs

my highest trap tonight came in a 14.8 run....93.39mph

anyway i dont wanna bore you guys any more here are the three best ET's

in case you cant see the picture, the three runs read

14.732@91.87
14.796@92.62
14.757@92.53

My best run (14.732) would have been a 14.6 had i shifted quicker...oh well its more than good enough

my mods:
injen cai
dc ceramic race header
crushbent b pipe (2.25)
nextgear intake manifold gasket
mount inserts
passenger/rear seat gone

mind you i didnt run on high performance rubber...i ran on all season toyo proxes fz4s lol under 70 bucks a tire baby

i think this one of the fastest, if not fastest non-hondata EP times...Ive finally reached the level of performance that i was seeking out of this car...probably not going to be visiting the track as often now, well at least not until i get another mod or somethin. Im more than likely only going to get hondata, maybe a few suspension mods, and call it quits for a while...lol until i get bored and swap/turbo/nitrous it or something

I can't really read it, but what were you reaction times. Good times though.

very nice. I'm still stuck in the stinking 15's with intake/header/midpipe.

I am getting ready to do a real exhaust though, so hopefully soon I'll be kissing 14's as well.

thanks for the compliments guys

i never hit a 14.6 tho...my best 14.7 run would have been a 14.6 had i shifted a lil better

my reaction times on all those runs were negative....was trying to get perfect since they give you a free track day if you hit it.....

reaction times dont affect ET's tho

lol my tires are Toyo Proxes FZ4s 205 45 zr16s

they are pretty bobo *** tires...got them for about 60 bucks each...

my launching technique

i rev up to 5.5k-6k and let off the clutch until i *fee* the car is getting/is about to get traction....then i mash the gas

for launching the car i reccommend sagging your tires to around 20 psi...i ran at 21psi and it made a huge difference

you just made the history books for the ep's. now you can put us up on the platform, so we can get better choices for parts!

Congrats, but aRz got a 14.6 at the same track (I assume Moroso) and it rained earlier that day.

Kudos though, you'd smack my stock EP3 around with no problems.
