I need an advise about what intake should I choose for a EP3, Ive been thinking in a AEM V2 or KyN Thyphon or how about Injen short ram intake ???

doesn't matter... just an intake stop thinking so hard.. especially being SRIs they just heat soak and sound fun but do nothing. Get an Injen CAI.... or buy which ever intake you think looks the coolest... again it's just an intake............

The thing its here in my country rains a lot so I am worry about a cai for the posibility of hidrolock

Don't you have to relocate your battery for that intake? More work than what it's worth. Just do the Hondata box mod and throw a K&N filter on it.

That's a matter of opinion sir and I think it's worth it. Our batteries are in a shitty spot anyway.

Get the Injen CAI. It is the only intake that actually provides a gain in power for the RSX

I am using the Aem v2 cai with a BMC filter. I find it to work nicely. Sounds good as well.
Using it on an Ep3 Type-R

No, stock and sri's air intake temps are 15-20 degrees above ambient temps at highway speeds, year-round, and much more so in stop & go traffic.

Part of that has to be the intake plenum being directly behind the radiator, so a cai is only going to do so much in terms of air temp reduction.

CAI ftw, it wont hydrolock as long as you have your splash guard in place and don't use your car as a freakin monstertruck going through lakes and ****

This summer, on an 80 degree day, I observed IATs around 120+ with an Injen SRI installed. Took that thing off soon after.

Mainly because I hydrolocked with my civic when I had a cold air did i decide to go with the AEM v2 for my rsx. In comparison with the dyno on clubrsx i believe it did the best out of the short rams. If you are worried about hydrolock go with a short ram. thats my opinion.

Of course there are those of us who opt for the best balance of power, economy, filtering capabilities, and hydrolock resistance; a factory intake.

Ran a aem cold air for 2 years then had a bad rain and engine shut off. now i have a v2 and no problems. u just cant run most strut bars with it

I had the Injen Mega Ram SRI and although it had heatsoak, I chose this one due to larger piping and no chance of hydrolock since i am in FL.

I went with the Mugen Cold Airbox and I love it. Looks clean and it looks like something the factory would have done.
