First mod before anything else would be tires. Everyone I have known who has had a type S has wrecked the car due to crappy tire grip under certain circumstances.
When my car was 2 weeks old it was fitted with Falken azenis.
I would do some basic stuff to the car first.
And as for what will void the warrenty, everything. Even rims, yes sounds stupid but Acura care canceled my extended warranty and one of the reason was because my rims were not stock ( even thou I have the DC5R rims. )
So if you plan to mod your car I would not hassle about the warranty, because they will void it if they want to.
Do this route:
1. Falken Azenis
2. Intake ( SRI/CAI)
3. Exhaust
4. Tein Flex ( if cash is available)
5. Cobalt Friction brake pads gt-sport
That little package should get you started and having fun with the car.
Good luck.

Live with the car as is for at least 6 to 9 months before making changes. Let it break-in also get used to a bseline for later comparison.
