Dayum! When I got my RSX, I was reading a couple places that said Type S intakes wont fit on the base model RSX. I then went on ebay and get a brand new Fujita Short Ram w/ free bag, hat, and a NOS drink for $100 new! . But honestly, I don't feel much of a difference with the SRI than I did with stock filter so ... Get Cold Air!

depends really on where you live. here in socal CAI is the best intake mod. not so much in the east cuz it rains so much. but at least our intakes are on the left side, the majority of puddles form on the right (because of the form of the road) and to really hydrolock your car would have to take in a sufficient amount of water. if you read the owner of that motor took off the fog light/brake duct grill which would cover the filter. so really its not a matter of a CAI destroying your engine its a matter of a stupid decision to remove fog light/brake duct grill
