b16 vs k20a2 drag strip
last month i ran my buddys 06 Type S rsx at the legal drag race in san diego.. i have a EM1 SI coupe with basic bolt ons and CTR camshafts non tuned... outta the 5 race that we did i took him 4 times and he took me once...is it because my buddy is a bad driver or does it sound right for a b16 with those mods to be able to beat a type S????

your buddy is a bad driver and you must be really good! rsx 0-60 is something like 6.5 secs give or take, and your car 7.0 ish. What was your trap time and all that stuff.

i ran my buddy at a 1/8 mile track.. my time was 9.87 second and his 06 type s was 9.94 second.. it was a pretty close race all the way.. my buddy is not a bad driver.. he's been into hondas for very long now.. so im pretty sure he has more experience then me

well actually i've been to the legal races at qualcomm stadium in san diego those tracks arent that long.. i mean its 1/8.. if it was a 1/4 mile i think you would of gotten smashed on.. i've seen GSR's taking type s there too.. it really depends on the launch..good launch will give u an advantage all the way considering the track is not that long..

yeah i've been to the races at qualcomm. its pretty lame that it cost 30-35 bucks to race and its only a 1/8 and to tell you the truth, the track really isnt even good.
And they wonder why there are so many street drag racing. Its because they wont open a decent track here in san diego and all we have is an 1/8 that is over priced and only open 2-3 times a month. Great

k20z1 has an lsd in the transmission, a higher final drive(same as K20A(R's), cams (one of the camshafts is identical to the k20a..i forget whether it's the intake or the exhaust), higher flowing intake manifold, ecu, wiring harness, just to name a few differences
