06 Rsx Type S... Vs ... 06 Civic SI
#26
Re: (jo3blo3)
Even though I liked the si before it was released, I finding myself getting sick of the styling. I especially hate the cut out for the trunk lid in the bumper and the big rear end in general. Not to mention the two tier gauge cluster.
On the other hand, with the rsx's redesign, I think it will prove to be a car with timeless style just like the 98-01 integras are considered today, IMO.
that being said, I still would purchase the 06 si over the type s because performance is what matters to me most. Once you feel the si's lsd pull you in to the corner as you slam the gas much like a rwd car, you won't even consider the type s. Better yet, wait for the 4 door si to come out

they are very close in price and performance...serious drive both and pick the one you like.

i was about to say myself...not that it necessarily got "hosed"...i mean its a very nice looking car, but performance-wise you cant even compare it to the latest generation of the Si.

EP3 with an A2 owns.. Si is synonymous for Hatch back! They should make a v6 RSX.

Re: 06 Rsx Type S... Vs ... 06 Civic SI (vnvracing)
type s. but it takes me a while to warm up to the look of a new car. the si has grown on me, but i like the rsx way better. plus way more after mkt 4 rsx jap and usa. throw hondata in the mix and its a no brainer. unless you just want a stock car that you can say is great and not add your own parts/labor etc.

The interior on the SI is what ruins the car.... I valet cars at a casino, and this dude comes up to my work a lot in his silver si. Car looks great under at night under some fake lighting. Drove the car quite a few times, and it seems a little jumpy like an rx-8. I figure that's from drive by wire. The guage cluster you get use to in two seconds, but it just doesn't look right. Not something I could look at day after day.

Re: (juntuned)
i think what made my decision over the type-s over the 06SI is theft. more people would rather steal an 06SI than an 06type-s due to the higher demand of SI's. Honestly, if an SI and S were placed next to eachother in a parking lot, the SI would be stolen. everyone knows SI's get stolen like no other, which means 06 SI's will be stolen the most. i'm not saying type-s's dont get stolen, but civic's are way higher up there.

They are pretty much the same car. IMO the RSX-S looks so much better inside and outside than the hideous Civic Si coupe. The hood is only like 2 feet long (j/k maybe 3 feet) and the dash is fugly. The only things i see better on the Si are LSD and um... thats about it. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I love the way this conversation topic will never die. It's amazing.
But dude said it best above me.
Yep Yep!
