*HELP* axle's fell out during spring install!
i have an ep
first i was wondering if this has been a problem with rsx owners being that we have similar suspension setups.
and second.. how the HELL do i get these ****'s back in?! ive tried everything. turn and push/push while turning/shimmy/jimmy
ive tried it while in neutral/while in gear/reverse
ive tried banging it kicking it... to gently applying pressure...
im down to the point of just asking someone to come over and help me...
so
IF anyone could possibly PLEAAASEEE come over and help me do this!
im located in san jose (berryessa), pretty close to the great mall.
let me know! IM me teCnkalMKaNiCz (im always online, lv me a msg)
or email me idrive888@hotmail.com
any advice is also appreciated!

it's a common problem if you don't properly secure the axles (just tying them up with bungie cords isn't enough, you have to prevent outward motion).
it takes time, patience and a bit of luck to pop them back in. just turn it clockwise while applying pressure, and you'll feel it notch in, then push. It takes time patience and a steady hand.
and if that fails, pop the axle out, cut the boot, line the bearings up, pop it in, put a new boot on, and re-pack the joint with grease.

its easy to fix...u might need a buddy to help u...
first get a jack and start jacking the axle so it is straight (less work for u)
then keep turning SLOWLY while pushing it in slightly until u hear/feel it catch on..when u feel/hear it catch push it in harder and keep turning it
then it should go in sooner or later

Do a search on ephatch.com. This is a common problem and has been discussed in detail over there.
My axles popped out as well. Take your time and they will go back in.

I had the same problem, it scared the **** out of me. But after changing the springs out many times, I figured out how to pop it back in. Like everyone else was saying, you turn the axle clockwise until it pops back in. The thing is you must have the car in gear or you will be there all day long. That should help you with your problem.

Yes, car must be in gear. The axle does not want to pop-in in neutral.
Also, take special care to make sure you aren't twisting the CV boot. I got mine in one time but realized I had twisted the CV all around. I had to pop it back out and put it in again making sure I didn't do an accidental revolution of the axle.
