That's right. Lamborghini and Ferrari are over-rated & over-priced for what they are selling. Just look at the F430 and LP640. Sure they are better than their predecesors in performance and numbesrs, but not worth the huge markup that they have in price right now. If you look around, you'll know what I'm talking about.

no ****. but if i sold a t-shirt that said "kiss me i'm a rich billionaire" and marketed it specifically towards billionaires that doesnt mean it's sensible for me to charge millions of dollars for it.

i'm not gonna even comment about ferraris and **** i think there's way too much bickering here as is, but there's nothing wrong with discussing the worth of a very expensive vehicle. it doesnt matter that Joe Blow Millionaire doesnt care about the price, it's still a reasonable aspect to assess about a supercar.

Brazil does get car tax, expect the prices to be lower..Just deduct their tax and drop the prices a bit because the US usually has the 2nd lowest prices world wide

So my $10k, 437whp hatch, that lifts its inside rear tire when I take off ramps fast is WAY better than any supercar ever made?

they are specialty cars. so what ur saying is it's not right for ferrari and lambo to charge 300k+ prices? Tell ya what then , get 3 or 4 dollars go to Walgreens or your local drug store and buy some kleenex because Ferrari and Lambo dont reall give a flying monkey **** if you think its fair or not. They sell out regardless. if a billionaire paid a billion dollars for a tshirt, then WGAS its their money and like i said when people with that kinda money throw monye around its called disposable income

no goddamnit thats not what im sayin. i didnt say it was unfair (actually i guess i did kind of suggest that, but it wasnt the point i was driving at), im sayin its okay to compare the performance/reliability/bling factor/quality/price of cars without worrying about the fact that there are people in the world who dont care what the price is. ferrari can charge whatever the expletive they want for it, but i'm still allowed to have an opinion about whether i think the car is worth it. obviously ferrari wouldnt give a **** since i wont ever be in the market for one, nor am i writing wah-wah letters to the ceo asking him to drop the prices.

im just stating my opinion.

obviously others will have different opinions of what constitutes a car being worth it, but seeing as there are no millionaires here i dont see any need to skew our opinions so much in their direction.

i'm sure there are people out there who would pay $15k for a riced out CRX. nonetheless, i'm not gonna **** on a guy for suggesting the price might not be a very good reflection of the vehicle's actual worth.

I read the original post. Judging by the fact that it has gone 10 pages in less then 24 hrs I'm not even going to read and instead take a wild guess on what the content of those 10 pages are.

1 Page of admiring the engineering that went into the new NSX
6 Pages of the LS6 can never loose!!!
1 Page of complaining how many other cars out there so and so thinks is better then the NSX "for the money"
2 Pages comparing newer cars (C6 Z06, SRT10, GT3, GT500, GT etc...) and how much better they are then 10-15 year old NSX's which automatically means they will reign supreme to the new one because everyone here is a ******* bench racer and judges cars based on numbers which are not 100% accurate to begin with and can very from magazine to magazine and website to website.

Not necessarily in that order.

I just love how many car snobs there are on this board when 95% of them will never have the coin to so much as rent one of the numerous cars discussed for a day. From the articles I read, there is a good amount of technology PLANNED to be used in the new NSX. Whether it makes it's way to the showroom floor is another matter. Can we all just give Honda a golf clap for pushing the limits and leave it at that. Spend your money elsewhere.

BTW.....
McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray credits the NSX as one of the most significant cars of the 1990s, calling it the worlds "first practical, well made, rear-mid-engined supercar." According to him, thanks to the NSX, established supercar companies, especially Ferrari, were forced to upgrade their engineering and build quality and not just rely on the prestige and mystique of their name.

who compares 91 NSX's to C6 vettes? more like 03 NSX to a C5 Z06. just because it was designed before that doesnt give it an excuse to not hang with the newer cars sold while it was still being produced. Clearly the C6 doesnt compare as it was made after the NSX was discontinued.

I dont think anyone is questioning that when the NSX was released it was a great car.

I could use a ricer excuse for that and say "oh but the C4 corvette was designed in 1981 blah blah" which is what NSX people say when their late year NSX is outperformed by the same year cars. fact was that year, the NSX outperformed the corvette. and cost twice as much.

ZR1 would be a better comparison.
