I can't believe a shop would leave a car like that outside. That is insane. Sorry to see that happen to you. Hope everything gets situated quickly.

the idiot is getting a lawyer rather than give you a couple grand ?

something is suspect. honestly 90% of thefts at shops are somehow connected to an employee.

besides what are you doing at any shop besides english racing in the portland area? from now on if you need work done that you can't do, go there. they have night guard, locked up fenced in yards and a lot of cars sleep inside. shop has security and honest people working there

On the first post and the 4th pic I noticed the floor jack next to the car. I'm curious is that's something the thieves left behind or does it belong to the shop? If the shop owns it then what was the jack doing outside overnight in the first place?! Get my drift?

i drive a satin black 88 civic hatch with red pin striping in the molding and black enkei's with a silver lip. right now i have a can on it, probably had my stock exhaust on it when we saw each other. honestly i think the only shop i'd trust with my car (specially if i had an 'R) is Forged or English Racing up in Camas. Or PSI. i have nothing against VIP or PRE just not a fan of their locations

really? new to town? that whole area from 82nd all the way out to east gresham is scumville. lots of drugs, thieves and generally bad people. rockwood is probably the worst area of all. i honestly think there is a worse area in the entire portland metro area. it's literally portland's compton

get a garage and only deal with english. myles {at english} blows up transmission on a near monthly basis he would be the guy i would talk to on integra transmission

you experienced the #1 reason i sold my integra. i had so much expensive **** on that car it made me paranoid leaving it anywhere very long.

worst part about your situation is the rarity of the parts. it's not like clean itr parts pop up on a daily basis.

you always have the jdm option. those interiors are much more available

TJ is the guy who does the tuning but myles is the resident integra guru. cruise up there sometime and get to know the guys. they are a full service shop and can take care of anything on your car that you can't

best part is **** like this won't happen there

my uncles gsr was stolen couple years back. they followed him to the store, came out car was gone. police found it in 2 pieces and stripped bare.

just so many dirtballs attracted to these cars and the 97-01 type r is the absolute king of lust by the honda thieves.

if i buy another honda it will probably be a base model rsx for a driver

just want nothing to do with modded hondas, s2000's, type r's or other theft targets. too many other cool cars out there that don't get screwed with all the time

I'll never understand why guys on this board who take their R's to get worked on don't tell the shop to keep the car inside... If they cant do that for you find a new shop or just take them the part, i.e. the transmission.

Sorry for the loss, I hate to see it...

Thats what i was thinkin.. its obvious that R had quite a bit of money put into it, from what the pics show i'd say your fortunate the motor wasn't tampered with, or worse with enough time spent, stripped

good luck
