Winter in TX
If you've flipped on the news any time in the last week, you've seen the "Arctic blast" we got down here. Here are a few pics of the aftermath. I'll post a pic of the R when I get home so this will officially be ITR related. haha It's not every year we get weather like this and 3 days of it was more than enough for me. I know you folks up north get REAL winter but this is as good as it gets around here.

HA!
Like RTW said, a dusting last night... that has been it for the southern part of NY all year.

We got a little snow/ice mix yesterday morning, just enough to fubar the commute. They're calling for ? on Sunday (seriously, one forecast I saw just had a question mark ).

Exactly.
What you northerners don't understand is that we don't get snow in Texas; we get ice. Sheets of ice covering everything. And while you can drive on snow without too much trouble if you know what you're doing, you can't even walk on the ice we get. I don't care what kind of winter tires you have, it isn't going to work.
Winters in Texas are typically fairly cold, although not very long. We usually see temps between 20-40 F in winter, although it's not uncommon to have a week of 30s followed by a few days in the 80s. Hell, this week started with ice and sleet, and they're predicting mid-60s for the weekend.

Yeah, the ice on the needles is priceless
From our Buffalo ice storm, yeah I know, it's expected to hit us.....
No wine from these vines...
