Are you current R-owners going to jump on that? If so, then I'm sure as hell going to get a 3RD gen R!

Re: When (skafia)
skafia - yeah, thanks for a tech topic that's related to ITR's. if you haven't already, please read typeRmsm's post on "what does people want from ITR forum" thread.
oh wait, here you go, so you don't get side-tracked. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=83560
Oh, when and if RSX-R comes to the States the guys in the RSX forum will have it in their forum.

Re: When (ILOVERACING)
No kidding, thanks ILOVERACING.
I linger around in the ITR forum because I love the ITR so much and I wanna read content about it as much as possible. It's like all those kids in your block hanging around you cause you just got the Super Nintendo. You can say in a way I think highly of your [R owners] opinions.
(un)professional: When I made the post regarding the ITR muffler it might have been in the wrong forum, but it was an ITR related topic nonetheless so get off my back. I admitted to my mistake so leave it at that.
BUT, this post is highly legitimate and I'm sure the rest of the ITR community would not want you representing ITR owners as being ******* jerks.

Everyone, sit down, smoke a fatty and chill out.
I would probably wait a bit even if the RSX-R was offered tomorrow - because dealer gouging is going to be huge (remember the Miata craze?) and as well new model cars always have production issues that get hashed out with later iterations.
Mods will take some time to come available on the aftermarket - as well it will take some time before the prices level out. That's why the current (or now old) Type R was such a great buy - great fit/finish, no recalls, and a plethora of aftermarket goodies available at good prices.
Seeing what Australia got as their watered down version of the "Type R" - I'm thinking that the JDM version won't reach North American shores - think niche market here. They have to keep the price down for it to sell well and I don't think the Recaro's or Brembo's will make the new R. But what do I know.

I sold my R, waiting for the RSX_R. If something equal or better pops up in the meantime..maybe I'll fork over the $$. Thing is, in terms of new cars, there is nothing out there that twigs my interest.
Sorry I am not discussing compression ratios or valve clearances. I guess some people have taken on the **** style of the admins, and started playing cop. yawn, whatever. Maybe now that I dont own an ITR, and drive a lowly neon, I will be banned. Do what you gotta do people.

Re: When (BlackAckeR)
AS far as Im concerned if the 2002 Integra Type R comes to the US, then the owners are more than welcome to post here.
Note I call it an Integra, because thats what it is and Should be called here, But Oh no Honda of America and their marketing team figure it would sell better under the new name RSX which fits the scheme of names in the Acura family

Re: When (Trey)
i'm gonna keep my R, make it faster if necessary, when/if the new one comes out. I love the fact that I have the original boy racers wet dream, not the second version. Our cars (97-2001 R) are already legends, just like the e30 m3, except reliable. I'm stickin with mine, outdated or not.

Re: When (Big Phat R)
I have no desire for the RSX-R. I'm fine with what I have. My next purchase will be far superior to the RSX-R. I wouldn't limit myself to the FWD format again. Real race cars are mid-engine RWD.

Re: When (and if) the RSX-R comes to America... (skafia)
I have a 2001 LS. I hung around the ITR forum to learn more about it since I was planning on doing an LS to ITR conversion. But it's a big task (and not enough $$$ at the moment) and I decided to keep it stock and just wait for the RSX-R. I think it looks awesome IMO.
