What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
i have an old (but brand new purchased back in 2003-ish) usdm 2001 itr (b18c5) head without cams but i haven't the slightest clue what the fair going rate is for it. i checked up some other sites and with cams they were in the ballpark of around $1700 or so. so without cams, maybe $1300?
any thoughts or feedback appreciated.

somewhere around 800 would be my thoughts. when you ask more it starts getting up around what someone could purchase a better head from endyn for.

Re: What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
yeah, it would be the complete head assembly only minus the cams. these are some big ranges i'm getting... hmmm. if prices are $600-800 range, looks like prices are going down for a brand new in the box head?

used itr heads without cams average around $450-$500 when you can find them, so brand new and with all the accessories listed above should fetch around $800-$1000 depending on the buyer

Re: What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
For a site that always has things listed rediculously high (check the FS thread, 2 sets of Recaro's. 2k and 4k. Really????)
IMO, a brand new head, assuming you have the paperwork and it's still in the original box WITHOUT cams should fetch around $1200.
Go look up the BNIB price from Honda, subtract maybe 100 or so or more to have folks consider yours instead of new from dealer and go from there.
I know recently, costs of shortblocks and long block have gone way up.
ok, so I went out of my way for the OP... here's what they are selling for BNIB from the dealer, NO CAMS
1 12100-P73-J00 CYLINDER HEAD ASSY. 001 2001 INTEGRA 2082.48 1561.86
From this source... http://www.acuracarland.com/j/i/3166...rtsOnline.html
So $1200 sounds right on the money to me.

don't the dealer heads come with cams and a vtec solenoid? the ones acura oem parts sold on ebay for awhile did. those were....1600 i want to say?
put it on ebay for 1g and let it camp a month, subtract 50 bucks per month till it sells

no they dont come with cams nor the v-tec solenoid the price i see on the acura website is 1800 for the head and 300 for the solenoid so i would say if you find someone really wanting to keep the whole type r set up i would say 1200 would be fair but like a lot of these guys say keep in mind what a dart head cost and others

Re: What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
thanks for the responses dave_b and others, it helps a lot to get feedback from the type r forum people for obvious reasons. two years ago the box was intact. it has since disintegrated, lol. the plastic wrap is still there, though, along with the original orange packaging for the other parts of the head.
racebum, hehe, you responded to my thread 2 years ago, too.
if anyone is interested, look for it in the marketplace. it'll be up soon with pics. i'll post a link up to it later...

Re: What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
gotta check on that solenoid. i know curry acura was selling them with the solenoid and cams but i'm not sure if that was them or if it was included in the box. i bought a R transmission new in the box and it came with one of the sensors that was not listed online. i also know the pistons come with pins even though the pins are listed separately
i'm really good at blowing up itr motors btw, helps me get to see many parts from the dealer. i just poped another one the other day. 90lbs of compression in cyl 3 now

I purchased a brand new head for My 2001 R last spring for around $1700 from Hondapartsunlimited.com
I believe a good price for head in question would be around the $1000-1100 mark.

The 00-01 USDM heads come with cams but no vtec solenoid. I looked at the one that was on ebay from dealer and it had the vtec solenoid, but that head was for the 1998 USDM R.

Re: What's the going rate for USDM ITR head?
you might need a piston as well. it doesn't take much to break the stock pistons. a valve hitting that fast could do it. you tear it apart and inspect the damage yet?
