personally i wouldnt worry about it. just be as vigilant as i'm hoping every R owner should be with their car.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I think this is by far the best reply for this thread. You have to look at the situation at hand first.

Re: (SlammedDC2teg)
Besides the photagraphers at the events... people have "asked" to take pictures before snapping them... especially if the plates aren't covered.
People at these events are car guys, they know what's up.
It's those people that come to watch, don't sign the waiver, but still get onto the course to just spectate that are annoying.

i know that ths thread seems weak, but this is the 2ndt time i saw somone taking pics of the car, first time was at work when they reeched a cam through the fence and then ran away i found that weird
then what was weird at the autox was that he had numbers on his car hopped in the car and drove away, and the weird thingw as that the event wassnt over, so why would he leave. last autox a few HT members came up to me and we talked, people who meet me know im ok, i let one guy sit in the car etc...
and lastly, i do live in NY and people were already "watching" the car, so i cant even keep it at my house anymore... i had some kid in a black ~99 coupe drive by every other night for a week or so

With that logic one should remove plates before ever venturing outside their garage since anyone could be looking...If it's going to go, it's going to go. (Not meant towards you but the whole plate being taped off/removed mentality). It's one thing for posting up pictures in a forum directed specifically to one type of car that is a bit more prone to get stolen than anything else but you really can't control all the eyes that may see your car while in public...You only saw one person taking pictures; there could have been others.

re-register your car under a remote address, which will take care of the address people can pull from up from your plate information and VIN information
it'll put your mind at ease as far as the topic at hand goes

Re: (Yaz)
I'd drop trou and moon the **** to ruin his pic.
Actually, I don't care about license pics. Anyone looking up my plates will be led about 220 miles away from where the car resides.

I never thought of it but that's probably the best idea. My plates would have brought theives to an empty house 3500 miles away.

I don't think many thieves have access to your address/personal info by having your license plate number; so don't worry. However, they will be able to recognize the car if they ever run into it again! I'm paranoid as well, but don't let the hinder the experience of the R!
