always...
turn all the way right, which is hardest setting. (clockwise)
then you turn left. (counterclockwise) [up to 16 clicks to the left and no more, the rest is past 16 soft, i recommend not doing that]
each left click is softer one setting.

I've heard that the empty 6 clicks were on the stiffer side, rather the soft side??

Full clockwise is the stiffest. Dont forget you are on setting 16.
15 clicks counterclockwise is the softest setting or setting 1.
Start from the stiffest and count your way bay, always remember you are on 16 when you start.

Full clockwise is the stiffest, which is like 21!! TOO FAR!! What I do (which is what i believe is right) is turn them all the way counterclockwise until they stop, then i turn clockwise to make them stiffer. PKEK (member of this board) does the same as me.

well, i already posted the answer, and so did asahi.
stop confusing people.
u can do whatever u like, but what i mentioned above is the correct way. going beyond the 16 softest setting might damage the shock.

I would be 8 empty clicks and call TEIN USA. They will explain they are on the soft side not the stiff side. I called them about a month ago when we were posting about this.
That would explain why it's been so soft lately. Sheesh.
Thanks for the info

You can have the shocks revalved to 22 way adjustable, thats why there are six extra clicks

We are a TEIN distriubtor and from what they told us.....all their coilovers are 16-way adjustable. Some click 20-22 times, but those clicks have nothing to do with making the damper rate stiffer/softer. If you over click, the allen screw might or will break. All you need to do is replace it. For setting stiffness, I was told to go back to soft from whatever setting you set it at before, then adjust the stiffness you want. What I don't get is when I mess with the EDFC at work, I don't see it setting back to 0. It just jumps to the memorized setting(s).

The correct way has been posted 10 times above.

We are an authorized TEIN USA distributor. I will double check with them again. I remember one of the old sales guys there told me to turn full soft. Either way, the EDFC doesn't seem to adjust full soft/stiff before going to memorized setting.

I have never used the EDFC kit so I can't help much with it or give any input. It sounds like a cool system but I am too lazy to run all that wiring though my car.

Re: What is the correct way to adjust Tein Suspension?? (Asahi)
it says for a 94-01 integra turn them full stiff(clockwise) if they arent from the factory, mount them on the car, set the front back 6 and the rears back 8 from full clockwise. Full clockwise is the hardest setting on your damper i have ss's so they are 16 way so full clockwise is #16 and back 6 would make it #10 a medium hardness. the first few before #1 are there because you can have them revalved and they will be adjustable from 1-24 settings. right now they are useless unless you have the expensive ones

Re: What is the correct way to adjust Tein Suspension?? (Asahi)
I will double check with TEIN. At the time, I was interested in getting some RA's for my car so I asked them about damper adjustments. I don't do sales at SP, so it was just for my info. As for the EDFC, thing that sucks about it is you cannot run certain strut braces. Although TEIN does plan on releasing their own strut brace.

Re: What is the correct way to adjust Tein Suspension?? (Daryl_SP)
i was just gonna reply tein should make more products like strut bars, tie bars, strong bars, and sway bars, lca's,camber kits, roll cages, hahah i just like the color gren they use and think it would be cool if i had alot of green parts on my car

I played with the EDFC unit at a store and I clearly remember it going to full stiff every time you turn it on, then it will count back to your setting.
