Well to keep it basic, there are basically two options for you. Vortech and Jackson Racing. Vortech is a centrifugal supercharger, Jackson Racing is a roots-type. They accomplish the same thing but in two different ways. Vortech is a little pricey (3000+ for an entire kit used). Jackson Racing can be pieced together or bought as a kit for less than 2000$, sometimes less than 1500$. There is too much to talk about here so do a search....

I suggest using the advanced search button on the top (the one next to Member List) and type in "JRSC" or "Jackson Racing" or "Vortech" or "Supercharger" or anything that relates and you will come across TONS of information. Also, if you are seriously interested in buying one, check the "For Sale" section of the honda-tech "Marketplace"

Thanks mate, I'll check them out. do you know if they have a shipping fee? I live in scotland so unless its anything UK based I think I might be paying over the odds.

I'm going to assume your talking about a B16/18? If so get 550cc injectors.

Search for the JRSC thread. There is a lot of very useful information there.

To the OP, the only way to find the right answers to all your questions is google it. Read through all comparisions between the two types regarding each positive and negative abtributes and draw your own conclusion. Good luck.

Just to add: The reason I chimpped in is because I have a Vortech supercharger (Although I have not run it yet). I chose it over the J.R. supercharger is because I don't care much about the torque/hp curve at the low end. But, I like the all out pull at the top end. That is the main different between the two. Again, GL.

Hind sight is always 20/20. When mt R was at it's peak on the Jackson, 9-10 PSI it made 260 WHP. At the same boost level using a turbo I'm sure it would have been in the 300-325 range. My $.02, GL.

Which ever way you go, tune it. I'm shocked at how many people on here put a supercharger or turbo on and don't tune. Then they wonder why it blew up....
Don't mess around with fuel pressure risers and all that crap, put the right injector in, Hondata is cheap, and take it to a dyno tuner.
I love my 10psi JRSC Integra type R rallycar setup. Turbo would have made more power and heat, but the scream of that blown STOCK itr motor at 9K rpm in the woods can't be matched....

Shouldnt be a bad shippeing fee, i just sold my jrsc kit to a guy in Hong Kong. I shipped it to LHT for him and he got it shipped from there, so im sure it wasnt too bad.

If your looking for injectors, I got a set of RC 550's for sale for $200 USD + shipping.

There is a third option.
http://cms.kraftwerksusa.com/
They don't make a B-series kit yet.
Oscar Jaskon now works with them.

I don't know if I ever can go N/A again on my R. After the feeling 260 whp it is very hard to spend the cash to build an N/A motor that only makes 220-ish and be satisfied. No offense it's just a preference.

This can't be said enough! I bolted my Jackson kit on my R, rolled the timing back and used the FMU for a short time. At 4.5 PSI it was a bit more agressive but not tremendously impressive. It made 204 whp from 180 being N/A. But......when I changed injectors, stepped the boost up to 10 PSI and got it tuned with Hondata it was a night and day difference.
