Default users of redline motor oil please read

today was the 1st time changing my oil after using redline 5w30. I put about 8,000km on the oil and while I was draining it today I noticed it was brown and not black. I dont know if im just being paranoid or not but does redline oil turn brown instead of black after use???

please comment

thanks

Yes that's normal with Redline oil. No need to worry.

I made a thread a few years ago on this. From my oil analysis in my old ITR, redline created 3-4x more wear then mobil 1. Theres absolutely no way I would use it in a engine that you're not planning on rebuilding every winter.

I agree. I became too lazy to post my oil **** results but Pb wear was really bad for my engine with RL. I have since switched to German Castrol and the levels dropped significantly last time I had it analyzed. Seems to burn less as well.
