Thanks guys and yes itrs are 8k for a salvage title one with b20 im it not to my standards... Stil "cheap" this days, but buying an r was just that, buying an r... I've built myself practically a brand new car that still is upgraded from what a stock r would be, not to mention a 4k miles b18c5(yes got proof), on top of being obd1 which is great!! Insurance is a coin compared to what a real itr would pay but I can show them receipts, plus I wasn't goin to swap the firewall out on a dc2 that would have killed value I imo, this was just a special edition yet I've made it special

although I'll confess I'd take on any of you "REAL" itr and see what happens yes conrnering
We are saying that anyone trying to pass off their integra as a type r when it's not a type r is lame, I don't think it's lame to put type r parts on an integra that's great, but speaking from experience no matter how good my DC integra was I still wanted to get a type r, and that's what I did in the end.

And sure maybe your DC can out corner my itr and might have more power, but I would take my itr over your car any day of the week.

that's understandable, after all it is your car and you bought it my car on the other hand is mine and I built it.

well I suppose direzzas dz101 and D2s aren't up to your standards, that was what I managed to afford after feeding and providing for my family... keep in mind not all of us have daddies and mommies "that pop $$$$$" to hand everything on silver plate

still want to try?!? jajaja

cars are not just means of transport anymore, but a way to express ourselves and be happy with our product... of course theres going to be "ricers" out there with big wings, fiberglass bodykits and altezza lights(not to mention neon under glow lol) but these are the cars that they choose to get with the things/'upgrades" they want... btw these cars make the nice cars look even better

but telling someone that type r seats and other parts on an gs teg is fine but a sticker would be like a slap on your face?!?! how many Rs have I seen that look like total crap... its just a matter of PERSONALIZING YOUR CAR TO YOUR LIKING... that''s really just it, just because you don't like something you have the need to criticize and ridicule someone else's work, at least that shouldn't be

First, Thank you for not putting ITR stickers on it. It's a clean well built integra, very nice.

Second, I'd take that bet.

Third, no Mommy and Daddy help here. Grown adult with 2 little girls.

What now?

Aghhhh..... "It's a Special Edition".... -____-

Here's a question for you... Would you take a GTO and say you have "Judge?.. Would you take a Mustang and say you have a Shelby GT500"

BOTTOM LINE... The real deal is made from the factory. Limited badge number, specific DIFFERENT VIN.. Why? Because the chassis is different. Same as a Judge or a GT500... Ever see car shows on Velocity where they find a car....And the way they tell WHAT IT REALLY IS..... Is by the VIN... Run your GSR, LS, RS, or "Special Edition" in and thats what you get... There's more to these cars from your standard integra than just the motor and door moldings.

Build you car as much as you want. Everyone has their own right to do that, and I strongly encourage it. But dont fake the funk. Simple as that. Your car is nicely done. I would never chop the front on a LEGIT R to make it RHD... So if that's what you wanted, then it suits you perfectly.

Oh and my Ohlins suspension that is the same as what was on RTR ITR's that won back to back to back to back Championships would gladly love to see if you can follow me through the corners... Dont come in here and challenge the group... Not a smart move.

edit note: 28 / Single / Home owner / 2 ITR's.... Not a drop from Mommy and Daddy

Default Re: Are type r clones part of the "club" discussion?

first off... congrats on your social status!!

let me just start by quoting OP's question
[QUOTEAre type r clones part of the "club" discussion?
=Dallasb84;50317607]Just curious what the type r guys think.[/QUOTE]

Hhmmm he did say clones... seems to me this would include tegs or even civic with Type R parts, at least that's how I interpreted the question, but yes parts is ok but don't do stickers were the answers soon given... yes OP also expressed he's curious as to what "Type R' guys think... Didn't get the question where he asked if "R" stickers on non "R"s were lame or not... Oh right OP never asked that!!

So a clone is considered a clone just for a sticker?!? IMHO no there's no way in hell a mustang can become shelby 500 for stickers right?!?!

I never said My special edition YES my "special edition" was an R and believe me I never would, seems to me that the biggest problem buying an R would be becoming a "D" Bag as every time I or other non "R" guy gets to interact with a "R" guy to be undermined be silly stuff like this...

Didn't challenge anyone my "R" friend, I simply stated that I dared to take on any of YOU with a real "R" and see what happens... didn't even mention beating anyone lmao..

Don't worry now I imagine it comes with the "ownership of an R" so you have a whole crowd of Limited badge numbers and specific DIFFERENT VINs to follow you and such...
I never chopped a front end of any car to make mine RHD simply swapped the firewall oh ant the clip was already cut when I bought it

This is my last post on this thread... huge waste of time from my part... since I am the intruder here as it is obvious that OPs original question has been side answered with a different answer but at the end it all means NO if you ain't own an "R" you're an outsider and not welcomed...

All were saying is your car is not an ITR. Plain and simple. I hear people allllll the time say "I had a Type R"... No.. No you didnt.. Dont claim it to be if its not. I even said "your car is nicely done"...

But either way you look at it, your trying to make your car as close to the real deal. And it simply wont be. As much as you spent building it, you could have a real ITR. Im not downing anyone or any car.

Again... All were saying is dont fake the funk... We all love a nice DC2

(As we see people do allllllll theeee timeeeeee)

I'm sure I can speak for most of us when I say we don't mind a nicely built integra, it's just when it comes to people lying trying to make people think they have something they don't, that's LAME.

I'm not just talking type R's, fake wheels trying to pass off as real, fake Louie Vuitton stuff etc. Etc. It's fine to have knock off stuff but don't try telling people it's real that's terrible and a person would have to have low self esteem to do that, I can't imagine any other reason why anyone would.

And type r owners on this forum are great guys, I don't think there's anything about an itr that turns u into an instant *******, well maybe if I had one at 16 I would be lol.

So if it's your last post here it's really your loss. You don't like the opinions too bad, suck it up it's just the internet.

And that mommy daddy thing is hilarious, I'm sure most of us in the itr forum are married kids wife etc. My parents sure as **** would not be buying me an itr lol.

You do realize you are talking to a guy with JRZ 2 ways (I'll wait for you to google them) and R comps... So no... You aren't on his level. And yes, I'm sure he would love to 'try' you. His (non-type R btw) goes like 1:56 around ButtonWillow. I'm sure you have no clue what that means, but it's fast as ****.

As to the original post... Donut's car is a perfect example... Don't mind if I do, man.

A perfect example of an Integra. I like this car more than my own real type R. Let's take a closer look.
-Shaved side moldings
-Type R(ish) lip--with the splitter attached, looks like a type R at first glance. (p1 for those who are wonderin)
-Big brakes like the ITR.
-Sunroof less roof skin
-even has an LSD trans and some ITR engine components

But does he try and pass it off as a type R clone? No. The more important reason is WHY would he try and do that. I'll tell ya why, because he's not a homo.
WHY would anyone try and do that?
He's made is car better than any ITR in a lot of ways. But it doesn't need to be called a 'type r clone'... why can't it just be called a clean *** ******* Integra?

jajajajajajaja DICK RIDER!!! I could care less what type of tires anyone has... you should definitely go play with his thing... ok so a type r ish lip an lsd tranny and some type r internals qualify for type r clone?!?! really as far as clone goes, by your standards now its wrong to even call it a clone!?!?! not that I care really but here's a definition for you...(hopefully you learn something no!?!?!

Clone: a person or thing that duplicates, imitates, or closely resembles another in appearance, function, performance, or style

Freaking Christ. Always someone that comes in here and posts pics of his "wannabe" and tries to justify it (yes, I'm looking at you d@_b3st).

Again...if I want to see a built Integra GS/RS/SE/GSR I'll go into the "Integra" forum. Otherwise keep your "projects" where they belong.

This thread should have been locked a long time ago.

You are a ******* idiot. Why don't u understand its OK to put type r parts on a DC but the moment u put itr stickers u open yourself up to redicule. I don't care if u put a billion stickers of all kinds but the moment u put itr decals on people will get the impression that you are a wanna be.

Your argument that we are hypocrites because we say it's cool to put itr parts on a DC but when someone puts decals on we don't like it... Because think about it for a second itr parts improve the performance of a DC but decals that say" itr" when in fact you do not have one is ******* stupid!!! The decals don't improve performance and makes the person look stupid!! Just ****** accept it and try looking at it from another point of view, because your point of view is warped.

It's just the plain truth kid accept and **** off already.

Plus wtf don't you understand the itr for sale forum is for ITRS **** head, you did it for exposure?? The people looking in the itr for sale thread are looking for ITRS, not special edition dcs with itr parts, if you can't understand that then at least understand this, FOLLOW THE FORUM RULES. idiot.

Default Re: Are type r clones part of the "club" discussion?

Mods please lock this thread this kid is ******* getting on my nerves, he's an idiot and will not get the point of what we are trying to tell him.

Whenever anyone gives him **** for something it's because we are "R" guys, like he said in his last post "I'll take my car out of the itr for sale thread to make the R guys happy.

It's not to make us happy, it's because your car is in the wrong thread you ****** idiot!! Not because we are haters or d bags, we don't like you because you are a moron.
