I never said anything about drag racing, I was looking at some just uneducated street-use owners. I was referring to Enduro, H1, and most HPDE events. Interesting. Still have it in our Type R after over 10 years on 220whp NA.

I'll just keep it until something happens I guess.

You said "banging through the gears trying to drag race."

You don't need to be educated at all to drive. A quality FD will take pretty much whatever you can throw at it, the only limit being when you pound gators with it. Unless you're doing that (pounding gators) the only type of racing that is hard on the FD is tarmac rally.

The LS FIF debate made me chuckle. I've been dying to do that mod because quite frankly I hate driving either slow on the highway, or at 5,000RPM. Having a GSR 4th and 5th... I really hate the shift drop from 3rd to 4th. I need seat time on various tracks to see if a shorter 4th would be better and if 5th gear is ever used where I can lengthen it for highway.

Do you have solid mounts? If yes, see next question. If no, then you man up.

Do you have a 3" exhaust? If yes, see next question. If no, then you man up.

Have you driven said car at 4,850 for 6-8 hours at a time? If yes, I am a sissy. If no, then shut the **** up with your comparison lol.

One of the only time I've heard of diff breaking is launching the car at a drag strip. Wheel hop can be brutal on a trans.
