Those looking for another oil filter choice...
I came across this on King Motorsports' website:
http://www.kingmotorsports.com...t=330
I suspect the Mugen haters will chime in soon

$27.?
Are you serious?
There better be some more conclusive comparisons than just this graph:
I am by far not a Mugen hater.

I agree, it is a bit pricey for a filter. Whether it's worth the extra cost over an "off the shelf" filter is up to you. Personally, I'll stick to the S2000 or Hamp filters -- I don't have that much money to burn

You know, I was using non-OEM filters for awhile before my engine rebuild, and after taking everything apart and seeing some odd wear on the crank, bearings, and cylinder walls, I definitely won't be doing that again. There's no way to be certain of course, but my engine definitely ran worse after I started doing that, and I wonder if it could've contributed to the eventual termination. I can't really argue about it, as I don't know the details of the differences between filters, but after seeing my own stuff and hearing some other arguments...

For $27 bucks a pop for a filter ...
It better come with a cute JDM girl "road head service" per oil change.
I'll stick with the HAMP filters.

I am not a Mugen hateR either (I still pimp my Mugen Power circa 1995 license plate frame) but dayum that is a lot of coin for a filter! MAYBE it lasts 2-3x longer or something???

I have a Stook but there is no way i am spending 27 bucks on a filter...oem filter + mobil 1 oil = about 28 bucks for a full oil change, good enough for me

For $27 you'd better be able to run the whole f'in year on it.
I just order Hamp filters in bulk when I find sale/free shipping.

they filter well but the coating on the media restricts flow resulting in pressure loss....which means you're in bypass more.
it's a tradeoff...
I loved the small Hamps but can't run them now, so I'm running the K&N and/or S2000
