Re: STOLEN '98 ACURA INTEGRA TYPE R !!!!!! CHICAGO AREA!!!!!! (LUXXXX)
This makes me not wanna move back to Chicago After College because i would be crushed if i loss my R. The far Burbs of Chicago is where it is at? Sorry to hear of the News, but Chicago Thieves are bitches! During a late night Type-R meet/Dinner in Chinatown, we go in to eat for an hour and come back, and it is weird how the most modified R is stolen and my R was parked right next to it..

damn
I really do hate reading threads like this. part of the reason I don't ever want to sell my car is I know that the buyer won't give it anywhere near as much respect as I do.
OP, try not to dwell. hope you feel better

You did what you can for the new owner! of course you would taken the sell back if it was going to get stolen, but that's the same for all of us in LIFE when something terrible happens. Again it SUCKS and I WISH THIS NOT ON ANYONE!
Something to think about, would it be any different if someone held the owner a gunpoint for the car? and it got stolen?
In the Bay Area, a few years ago when I had my prelude, a prelude owner was shot to death because he wouldn't give up his car at a street race gathering.
It's just my 1 cents since it might not be worth 2 cents and my thoughts, I'm not coming off to be a jerk or whatever.

Absolutely horrible . I was/am such a big fan of your car, well old car I guess. To say that this occurance is a disappointment would be an understatement .

Good luck in locating it. I'd keep my eyes out for it, but from the Seattle area, I doubt I'd be any help. Would run up on a **** though if I saw that ish on the street... Roll cage and everything? weak! At least identifying it would be easy if the roll bars were removed... Bolt pattern in the floor would be a great indicator...
Good luck. Sorry to hear that, to you and the owner...

Re: (ScreaminSedan)
We should set up a mock up car in an area known for stealing and just sit thier and wait to see who shows up and tries to steal it and have like a hundred guys come out and start whooping ***. That would be really nice to do. My hatch has been tried already twice from my garage. Its hard to go to sleep at night sometimes knowing soon enough it can possibly happen.

Re: STOLEN '98 ACURA INTEGRA TYPE R !!!!!! CHICAGO AREA!!!!!! (OnePointFive)
Ive never take my cars to the city either, for that reason right there. And this was the first time the car was there, its not like it sits there. and it was there for 30min only. i know it only take less than 2min to take the car without an alarm, but im positive that alarm went off if it was armed. The only way that car was taken was by gettin towed. even then i am positve the alarm was going off, bc if you were to walk by the car and say pause for a second to look in the car or anything, the alarm would warn and if the object didnt move immediatly it would go off.
Im sure someone over there seen something.
