Some pix of my R at Maple Grove
Went to a meet yesterday at Maple Grove Raceway in PA. Had alot of fun chilling with everyone, some people posted up pictures of my car, and I took a couple as well so I thought I'd share.
List of stuff done to it so far since my last thread got deleted...
interior:
- Brand new ITR shift ****
- JDM ITR shift boot
- JDM ITR clock blocker
- ITR floormats
- JDM ITR red recaros
exterior:
- JDM rear H emblem
- JDM ITR tail lights
- window visors
- sidemarkers
- lowered on GC coilovers and Koni yellow shocks
- Fujitsubo RM01A exhaust, high flow cat, JDM ITR header
Other (under hood):
- Spoon oil cap/resevoir covers
- Spoon carbon kevlar spark plug wire cover
- Tein hood dampers
- Xenon depot 4300k HIDs
waiting to be put on -
- j's racing cf intake (because im waiting for the spoon front strut bar i ordered... hoping the intake doesnt rub with that bar like it does with the oem itr bar)
Anyway on to the pictures people took of my caR..

Looks good, how do you like the window visors? I lost one last week because it was so windy out I don't think I would buy em again personally

lol damn thats crazy. i like them alot personally, had em on my old teg as well. i love how they give a little extra in the looks department, and i also love being able to put my window down just a little if it is raining. but they are one hell of a b*tch to put on!

Don't they have clips that you screw in though? That's crazy that they flew off from the wind.

I agree with you on everything, the fitment quality is what got me, they didn't leak or anything but those screws are worthless, it basically just clamps it in instead of actually screwing the 2 metal clips together and that's probably why I lost one because I had them as tight as possible, and then the fact that the 1st clip down by the mirror doesn't have the hole drilled into the door frame like its supposed to and how the last one at the end of the door with the plastic piece doesn't even work?? kind of pissed me off knowing it was a honda product but fitment was that bad IMO

yeah thats right. the 98-01 jdm tails have the yellow but they differ from the 94-97s in that they have a lighter red background

Here is a pic of my set-up a few years back. You can see the space between the bar and intake. Still rubbed the spark plug wires though.
Don't mind the ghetto heat shield . hand made carbon fiber by me and a buddy.

Then they either weren't OEM and installed correctly, or incorrectly...
or
OEM and definitely installed incorrectly, by you saying the screws are pretty much pointless then you definitely installed them wrong...
Looks good so far Ash...

They were definitely OEM, the packaging had Honda all over it. I don't see how they could be installed incorrectly because it's basically 2 clips for each mounting location (one attached to the car and one on the visor) and you screw the little itty bity screws in and it just holds it to the other clip, the clips on the car aren't even threaded, just the ones attached to the visors are threaded

Re: (B_Something)
Well I know for a fact mine can sustain 135+mph of driving into a 50+mph head or cross wind, there's something you definitely didn't do right.
