Selling my R
My 98 R is for sale (and my CJ). I dont want to sell it, and if i could i would park it and get something else. But I have had enough of the ricers. Everytime I drive it I get revved at etc. I never thought it would come to this but enough is enough. The only problem i have now is deciding what car to buy. Im not looking for a race car, just something nice for around 30K. I have narrowed it down to about 7, If anyone has owned any of the following, i would like to hear + or - reviews- Thx
Tahoe/Yukon
C5
S Type
GS 400
Boxster
CTS

Re: Selling my R (Daly)
i assume your looking at 2nd hand cars also because of the 30k limit and the boxster as a choice.
i would not suggest a 2nd hand boxster as the motors are not reliable from what i read. they are manufacturered in a plant with far less quality control (engine wise) than lets say your 200k 911 gt3

Re: Selling my R (dcteck)
Tahoe/Yukon = big and nice to tow with - plus 22s fit
C5 = nice and quick but only 2 seater
S Type = ford underneath - good luck with it staying together
GS 400 = decently fast and roomy - though the suspension blows
Boxster = chick car - boxster s is alright - but thats not in your price range
CTS = fugly and slow

GS 400
IMO, great bang for the buck fun, clean rides. And I think a loaded TL Type S is only like $35000. You could get used, or probably a newer CL.
I'm gonna go look at prices right now.

Re: Selling my R (dcteck)
I am aware that most of these cars are above 30K, thats why (with the exception of CTS) i am looking for pre-owned 98 and above......As for the CL/TL I like the times I've read but Im not to impressed with the body. More suggestions welcome

Re: Selling my R (Chris93Si)
A BMW 330ci (?) would sure be a nice car to have...
But I think they are upper 30k. A 325 might be right up your alley though.
Sorry, I don't know all of the letter designations for the BMW car lineup. Just an idea though. Sorry to hear you're selling the R.

New Z or the C5. C5's are ******* sweet if you can drive worth a damn(unlike 90% of Vette owners )
Too bad I can't even come close to affording one...

Re: Selling my R (dcteck)
Infiniti G35, 6 speed manual (coming soon I heard)
Coupe or Sedan, for a luxury performance car, the best bang for the buck.
The coupe looks awesome, similar lines to the 350Z.

boxster
Agreed, I work at a Porsche dealership and I'd only get a Carrera, don't waste your time with boxters.
