Default SEATTLE AREA R OWNERS WATCH OUT

With all of the itr theft running rampid in our area of late Mine ran into a snag yesterday. Last night at roughly 5:15 pm my pager for my alarm goes off. I figure it's just a false but i am never too careful.
I walk outside to see two punks on each side of my car. One had a screw driver and the other had a slim jim like device in his hand. I began approaching my car at a rapid pace and as they saw me in my suit mind you running through a parking lot they took off. Two young looking Asian kids Jump in a Red ek hatch with Trick Speed stickers on the rear 1/4 windows.
The car had gunmetal what looked to be itr rims and some hidious sounding exhaust as well as being so low it almost ripped the exhaust off as they speed out of my complex over a little hump in the road.
This all happend in my office parking lot that is patrolled every 1/2 hour by security. We have Cameras in our lot and they are going to be looked at today. I got a partial on the plate of 856. Washington plates and as I said the stickers on the rear 1/4 window had Trick speed logos spelled out in Japanese writing for the last part. People who live around here know what the logo looks like.
The fact that these thieves are becoming brazen enough to try stealing one at 5:15 at night is really scary. Thank god for Clifford letting me know or it could been all over. The only reason I'm driving it in the first place is that my 93 coupe was stolen a few months back from in front of my house.
I agree with Marshal (92 type r) that we set up a sting. This is becoming so bad but at least mine only has a torn piece of weather striping and a little nick from these punks.
The Snohomish county sheriff wouldn't even come out for a report since nothing was stolen. That shows why these idiots continue to do it since the law enforcement doesn't seem to care a whole bunch. I'll keep you updated if the camera has more info. I should know by about 2 o clock today.

Hope this wasn't at home or at a location that you frequent because now they know where it is and it's just a matter of time. Sorry to tell you

i know exactly what car you are talking bout. saw it sometime ago at the bowling ally in kirkland (tech-city bowling) red ek slammed with itr suspension/ GM wheels. there was also a video floating around here on HT with all the trikspeed car cruising and rolling. it has his plates in it.

EDIT: thought there was a clear pic of the plates but i guess not.... you can try to make out the rest of plate but its gonna be hard. heres the link to the video:

Good save! It makes me think that all the money I invested into a 2-way paging alarm is worth it.

Don't set up a sting by yourselves. Vigilante-ism is not rewarded. The penalty for attacking a thieve, as we all know, can be worse than the penalty for attempted car theft or actual car theft. Sad. very sad.

Whoa, that's a close call. Thank God the car was saved, but what are you going to do now? They'll probably be back.

That's most likely how the other ones were stolen around here. Couple of punks, came during broad daylight to the workplace and just drove it away.

That would **** me off enough to contact the local newspaper and TV stations -- especially with all the other recent thefts out there in WA.

ditto happened to me, cops would not come out.

and even once your car is stolen, cops won't see it again until it surfaces as a shell on the side of some road.

i hope something changes...

What a bunch of ****........... at least everyone knows now that this Trik Speed or whatever is all a bunch of ******* low lifes.

I say find every one of those Trik Speed cars and dump Jasco all over them and watch the **** cry when the paint melts off their car. Then pour Jasco on those *****.

Damn makes me be ashamed to be asian. But I know that asian people along with white people had somthing to do with my theft as well. So it's not one race doing it. It's every one. That's why it's getting so bad.

It's not just one person that wants to steal it, it's like 15 people.

This is the reason my car will NEVER be a street car again. Thieves can ******* kiss my ***. U dumb ***** need to get run over. Donate your organs to somebody that needs em u ******* waste of a human.

Sorry to hear about your close call. Thank God that's all it was. to Clifford and a quick reaction time by you. It's the same up here in Canada. We have a bait car program which I think is pretty cool. Luring theives and catching them is good but when all they get is a slap on the wrist I think that's bullshit. I'm glad that my car is garaged or in plain view at all times.

<---who is sick and tired of hearing about theft and wishes every theif would just *get a job*

I'm sick of these ***** and yes it will help. They can put a flag on his "stolen car case" and he won't get any money for it. Insurance companies need this type of information. Just that most people don't give it up.

I'm just sending my buddy a warning. I'm not saying to him what did or did not happen. I don't know. So I'm gonna let him sort through it all and determine it.

**** like this gives us high insurance rates. So this hurts all of us. Standing by and not doing anything is just as bad. My friend is one of the top people at State Farm he can do what he wants with this info. I myself can't do anything.

But if this team is associated with this **** then he'll definitely know. You don't understand how much money insurance companies spend on these kinds of investigations, which in turn is passed onto us non-criminal customers.
