I just placed order on my BLOX velocity stack w/ BLOX filter. Ill be placing a order on a Samco intake arm and I will keep people updated if i like it or not. As far as dyno i can't get my car dyno'd since I'm still working on it.

I have a RPM 68mm TB, and this Samco piece needs a bit of elbow grease to fit on that TB, so anything bigger is a no-go.

Ok, this intake arm get dumber by the day. I've tried 3 different sizes of breather hose and nothing will hook up to the nipple coming off of this arm. What are you guys all using, if I go up in size any more, the hose will be too big for the breather nipple on the back of the valve cover.

Nevermind, looks like most are sticking the tube inside of the intake nipple instead of around the top of it.

Fuko:

What did you put inside if your intake nipple? Looks to be the same sort of nipple that comes off of the valve cover.

Just put a vacuum cap on the intake side, and a breather filter on the valve cover.

I don't like my engine sucking up oil/fumes. Do you?

I know I am awaking an ancient thread, but anybody know if this pipe has a 3" opening? I am interested in purchasing one and want to mate it with a BPI velocity stack, but dont know if I should order the 3" or 3.5" velocity stack.

So did we ever find out if the intake temps were lower with this arm? Should I even bother replacing my stock itr arm just to have it match my radiator hoses? =P

BPI with original 3.5" arm, all you do is tighten it down onto it. If you do not plan to change intakes then I would get the 3" arm. If you plan to upgrade later on, say to a mugen then I would get the 3.5"

For those using the BPI stack with the Samco arm. I found out that AEM makes a dryflow to fit the stack. It actually fits better than the K&N. It actually has an inner lip/ridge to stop the stack from being pushed in too far.

A little off topic, for the breather hose, OEM, there is a metal bracket which connects the valve cover to the intake arm. On this same bracket, it also connects a coolant line between the throttle body and head. Does anyone know why this coolant line is connected the way it is? It looks like most people just removed this bracket and connect this via a soft rubber line.

Thanks.

Interesting. The stock arm is already smooth though on the inside. Anyone actually try and test it?

sorry to bring back from the dead, but any idea where i can get a Samco intake arm for my DC2R who will ship to AUSTRALIA? Also do you think this will allow me to keep my airbox by leading this pipe into it, the KnN filter i have has an angled neck..so it might. Here is a pic of my engine bay:

THank you
