Default S2000 VGS Steering wheel on ITR

I've seen an S2000 steering wheel on an 96-00 Civic. Now I was wondering if that was a bolt-on or custom fabrication to the hub. Does anyone know if and how it can be fitted to an ITR? I can acquire the one that's on the S2000 VGS, the one with the flattened bottom and silver finish.
TIA

What's wrong if we take something from another car? It's JUST LIKE buying JDM or civics having ITR interiors.

Oh you should beware. Someone might think your itr is a s2000 poser with that steering wheel(!) Everyone will look down on you. Next thing you know you will be doing rear seat removal and a cabriolet conversions on your itr. It's an evil cycle once you get that s2000 steering wheel. I think that's what he's trying to warn us about.

Naw, ch33se was just saying that you shouldn't buy parts that weren't intended for the car in the first place. Makes sense. You have to do a lot of monkeying around to make it work, and in the end it's no better than aftermarket goods.

Firstly your asking about the S2K VGS wheel which is more complecated then normal steering wheel setup. VGS stands for Variable Gear Sys. Means it adj. to your driving style over greater range then your standard power steering which may give you high and low. VGS gives you High and Low and everything inbetween, below and beyond. The Vspec S2K weighs abit more with the sys I believe it's 20-+ lbs more less and the power is down by 1 hp but it's still more then US std verison comes with.

if you ever go to another board. s2ki for example they will be like " look at this dork with an s2k antenna" its just like sticking a type r sticker on a GSR why do it? hatchcraps with motor swaps are a different story altohether. I dont want to affend anyone im just saying, alot of s2k people are going to call you a poser, trying to be like them. what do you think when you see a integra LS with a itr wing, lip, and itr stickers on the side? exactly.

oh yeah, natadekoko, thanks for understanding what i ment.

The reason I was thinking about doing it is not because it's an S2000. It could belong to a Yugo for all I care. I'm into function over fashion. It's becuase it's flattened on the bottom, slightly smaller diameter than the OEM, JDM, SRS steering wheel I have, and would still allow me to maintain the use of the SRS system. Which is the reason I don't wan't a smaller, flattened bottom, aftermarket steering wheel.

That's great. I didn't know that. But if the hub was adaptable to the ITR's steering shaft, would any complications arise from this? I mean the system, I imagine would be the one that compensates rather than the steering wheel.
Thanks

Good point. This might benefit taller people as well... good luck!

well here is why--->
when my GSR's antenna crapped the bed, I didnt want to buy a new oem antenna and motor because it was mucho mucho $$$$, but the S2000 antenna swap is very inexpensive ($30), quite easy and with no motor so it saves WEIGHT.
~Add that I think it looks better.... so you tell me who has their head on straight.
S2000 owners can knock me all they want, obviously I am not a S2000 wannabe since I have a 4 door GSR and I had good reasons to swap the antenna.

I was just being sarcastic.
I didn't know other people, like some S2000:ers, looked down upon intelligent upgrades (like antennas) for good purposes. *shrugs*

there are plenty of aftermarket wheels that will serve you more function then the s2k wheel. maybe i will never get it. why get a jdm header when the "aftermarket" DC 2.5in collector header will perform the same and also saves you weight witch would make it outperform the jdm header and cost LESS!!! jdm this jdm that. i want a jdm clock cover!! what the hell for so you cant tell the time?

Ok. Find me an aftermarket steering wheel with a smaller diameter AND a flattened bottom AND still allows me to use the airbag system.

BTW if you honestly think that the 3lbs you save by using the JDM DC over the JDM OEM header will make a difference at this level in which we race our cars, you are sorely mistaken; with the exception of a rare few on this board noone, can drive their cars here at the limits provided by the stock setup . The JDM clock block that you talk badly about is at about the same level of a performance upgrade as the 3lbs that you save on using the JDM DC header over the JDM OEM header from a weight savings perspective.

The steering wheel here is the stock S2000 wheel I believe... he's talking about the S2000 VGS wheel which has the bottom flat like an open-wheeler

Anyway, I think it looks cool so screw those S2000 fools!

I didnt install the wheel, it came like that when I bought it.
No, thats no a S2000 Type V steering wheel, thats the base model.
92-95 Civic and 94-01 Integra use the same wheel spline
96-00 Civic, 97-01 Prelude, s2000 use the same spline.

Thanks for the comments,
Demian

If that's the best defense you can come up with, then you have no point to prove. How ever many pounds it is, it's not at all that significant.

ch33se - let me guess... you have a S2000... Stop trolling around the board if you don't have anything nice to to say.

As for the steering wheel goes, what's wrong with putting a S2000 steering wheel on an ITR if it works? It's smaller than USDM steering wheel and it has SRS Airbag. If you can find me an aftermarket steering wheel w/ SRS function (sans JDM SRS Momo from JDM ITR... $$$), please let me know.

Lastly, S2000 antennas on integras... who gives a crap where it came from. If it serves a function that's all it matters. And, no, I don't have it on my car.
