Roebling Road last weekend
I went to Roebling Road last weekend for the NASA HPDE event. I ended up being the only Honda that was there except for one other DA Integra that was in the Lightning Race. I'm still a n00b at track days but I had an absolute blast at this event. This was my first time at this track and loved it! It took me a while to get used to the lines and figure out how fast the ITR could really go around the track. I know that there is a lot of room for improvement but I was able to get my lap times down to 1:28 by the end of day 2 with my instructor using his stopwatch(I know it's not the most accurate). Since I am such a n00b, I'm not sure how fast that is? I've got a video from my first run on Sunday morning where I ran down a Z06, 996 Turbo, and a Mustang Mach 1 (video below).

I am so addicted to this now I just can't believe it. I now have my interior for sale so I can get a full cage and a set of seats. I hope to see many of you at up coming HPDE's.

Roebling is actually one of my favorite tracks. The long, long sweepers are what make it so great. Glad you enjoyed it

Downloading vid right now Car looks great as usual Can't wait to see see pics of it fully caged
Edit: Awesome vid. What RPM are you shifting? About 9 grand? It was a little hard to see.
Again, your car is a beast and looks like hot sex on the track. Glad you had a good time.

Sweet
Roebling is a blast. It's a great track, and there's a ton of events there all year round. (seat-time, NASA, etc).
Maybe if i actually have a car for next event, we can caravan down from Greenville.

Haha it looks like you had a great time. You definetly have room for improvement, I ran for Palm Coast Ford in there factory focus for the National race there this year and came in 1st at a 1:27.024 in a stock svt focus. You can cut off a lot of time in turn 1. Instead of braking in a straight line, go into the corner on a diagonal and then do your braking. Looks like ya had fun

Yeah, I've been a hermit lately. I've had more time to be on Honda-Tech this past week and work will be done in two or three more weeks. Then I gotta find something part time and focus my efforts on assembling my race car.

Well since you said something about that, I don't think I've ever seen an instructor sit so close to a driver.
You can search some of the SCCA web sites and get the track records there to give you an idea of your times. But don't worry you'll make big improvements the more you do it. I believe the track record there was something around 57 seconds in an old Champ car. Can't you imagine cutting 29 seconds off your lap times. RR was the first place I autox back in 1987. I loved doing Solo Is and road racing there.
BTW, the slowest part of the track is always the place that you can make up or loose the most time and at RR it is T5.
Edit: I found this.
