RIP :(
I wont get to hear the sweet sound of the ITR VTEC anymore. I feel like I'm going to throw up again, the motor looks fine but everything else is done FML. IDK how I'm alive, I walked away without a scratch on me but I just lost my pride and joy. How do you cope with something like this? Wrecking the thing you love and cherished? I still feel dizzy and just sick to my stomach

well at least you are not hurt, that should make you feel much better. How did this happen? hitting the twisties? sucks, but you know racing on the street is a big no-no, tell us the story.

Re: RIP :(
Coping with an accident is difficult, especially if it was TOTALLY avoidable, which most are. I had an accident where it was not my fault at all. Just classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That wasn't too bad to cope with. Nothing I could do.

No, I was not street racing. On a back road going around a turn, there was a bump coming around the turn and the car got a little light feeling. Then I saw headlights I thought someone was in my lane and I am trying to slow down hitting the brakes but they locked around the turn. I made sure to avoid the other car but it started to oversteer real bad and swung around. Slid into the grass...

Re: RIP :(
Sorry to hear it bro. Glad you are still with us even if the caR isn't. If you had full coverage, you can just buy another one...maybe a shell and buy yours back from insurance to use for parts (assuming it's not rebuildable). Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Need to try harder on that bs story. Just admit that you were pushing the car and panic when the rear gave way. Someone needs to go to school for car control. Nice to have 1 down.
Fyi. If you feel the rear is about or starts to loose grip. Steer and gas.

Re: RIP :(
So you were doing...what, a buck 20 around a hairpin turn, and suddenly the car lifted off the ground before the turn and you tried to steer away from on coming traffic when suddenly the abs failed and your wheels locked up and you slid across the grass and wrecked your car in a field of grass?

I will get pictures eventually. It still makes me sick just to look at them.
People keep telling me the only thing that matters is that I'm still alive. Last night changed my outlook on things and things became very clear. Life is a gift and its easy to take away that gift. Somone had a plan for me to still be alive. Nobody was killed or injured and I thank God for that. However I can not sleep and I feel sick to my stomach. Having my life flash before my eyes is still bothering me and scares me to no end. My whole family cannot sleep thinking about the accident scene.

Not to pour salt in the wound but...
you (or someone) intentionally took out or disabled one of the best ABS systems in a performance car for what...to save a few lbs? You do realize that RealTime kept the stock ABS system in their track cars for the first few years they campainged the Type R, right? Let this be a lesson to the weight ****** and "wire tuckers" of the world.
Also, what suspension did you have on the car?
And tell us truthfully...just how fast *were* you going? I'm sure not 120, but my guess is it was certainly above the speed limit by 20 mph or more.

Re: RIP :(
I can imagine you feel like **** after the accident, however you came out of it unhurt so consider yourself very lucky when you think of the amount of people that are killed in 'lesser' accidents. You can always buy another car.
