A local is selling his 2000 PY ITR. He's asking $10,900 OBO. I'm interested in it but I would like some opinions or advice when going to look at the car.

-Stock
-JDM front end
-99k
-Clean title
-No rust

I would find out if it has been in an accident....hence the front end. Check to make sure all major services have been done. Looks clean though and price doesn't seem too bad.....

A lot just comes down to whether or not you like the front end, I know opinions vary. I had a JDM front end on mine and if I were to buy another R I would get one with a USDM front. Just my .02.

I think this might be the same car that was fs about a year ago here on HT, i think Grunow took this car on trade in for 9k. I could be wrong but the friendly honda license plate holder hints to it. Looks clean though jay.

Bizarre

You can tell its been in an accident in the underhood picture. All the sheet metal near the shock tower looks all bent out of shape. And at one point its so bent that one of the bolts for the fender isnt even in cause it doesnt line up.

it all just depends on what you want and if its in your price range
if you don't like it just wait until you find the perfect one even if it take a year to find
the right one

it is a good deal to me. and that engine bay seems to be pretty clean too.
make sure the engine vin matches the car and do a compression test.

if all checks up, i think it is a good deal.

there are more than a few people who would trade you a usdm front and do the paint work for you in trade for the jdm front. so regardless of which you enjoy more it shouldn't be an issue.
