questions for the pre 98 non abs ITR owners
specific questions for the non abs ITR owners, having a hard time digging up the info.
what size is your stock brake master cylinder(bmc)?
are there lines coming out both or just one side of the bmc?
what type proportioning valve do you have (see pics)?
can you take a picture of your bmc and proportioning valve?

All USDM ITRs had ABS.
To convert to non ABS you need the 4040 prop valve on the right, some Integra RS lines (prop valve to front right wheelwell, prop valve to front left wheelwell, prop valve to MCx2). You reuse the ABS BMC or change to the RS and RS booster, which is not worth doing at all. You will have to cut one new brake line and one old one to convert.
Oh, and this info is easily found searching google BTW

Yes, all USDM ITR came with ABS.
Other then the RS trim, all Integra's had ABS.
1998-2001 Integra's including the 1997 ITR got the slimmer ABS module.

ABS was on all us ITRs. IT was not an option.
Removing the ABS is a bad idea even for a track car, you can improve lap times bay having ABS

Looks to be the case, can't find any information that says other wise. Guess I was wrong

It's not a bad idea at all for a race car. For a casual DE car I'd agree but you do NOT want a race car rolling back across the track thanks to ABS. That's why many sanctioning bodies (including SCCA) require it's removal.

Yeah a few JDM ITRs didn't have ABS. OP: I can take a pic of bmc and prop valve if you still need it? '96 spec with factory no ABS, not sure if that will help you?

Cool. Always good to learn new stuff. I'm not into the whole JDM thing so I never bothered to learn that info
