Re: Plastic bag melted to my header!!!
Who gives a **** if he explained that his brother in law was driving the car. Second who cares what type of header the kid has is it on your car? Do you have to look at it everyday no? Instead of you morons posting countless bs bashing posts this problem could have been solved. But instead you cry babys keep posting stupid comments this is the reason why honda-tech is so shitty now today even a 18 kid can go out and buy a type r and think hes gods greatest gift to earth and then come on the furoms and bashing people because they lack the technical support.
I just looked in my helms book and the torque numbers are correct that the person posted alittle earlier.

To clean my stainless header, I used a light grit sand paper, then coated it with clean motor oil before start up. It worked out well.

Re: Plastic bag melted to my header!!!
The reason people weren't being as helpful as they could is because you're ranting about your friend being an idiot and driving over plastic bags using bad points like he doesn't know how to drive Hondas, when it has nothing to do with that.
Then you're asking how to remove your extremely cheap low quality knock off header to clean it, so we're thinking did he actually pay someone to install that pos? (since you're clearly lacking in mechanical knowledge)
And then to top it off you're calling everyone who is pointing out these flaws in your rant, douchebags (who wants to help a hypocritical stupid person?)
Your original post should have just been; "how do I remove my header, a plastic bag melted to it". Would have gotten 5 responses, all helpful and you wouldn't have had this problem.
Its one of the cheapest knockoff companies. They make knockoffs, based on the design of other knockoffs. This is the ITR forum, and its really hard to beat the quality of OEM ITR parts. Blox parts are inferior to OEM Honda parts, in fact Kia, Ford, Chevy, Saturn and Hyundai still have better quality in their manufacturing and design than Blox.

Re: Plastic bag melted to my header!!!
get the header hot by either running it on the car and scrap it off with a paint scraper, or use a propane torch and melt it all off

Re: Plastic bag melted to my header!!!
Thats what I was thinking. After enough driving it should eventually melt off. Might leave a little residue, but in actuality, it will actually help protect the header against rust (assuming it may be a lower grade/false SS).
Good Luck. Ignore all the ignorant people on the web. It's your car, do w/e the hell you want with it.

In terms of quality, you're probably right. OEM>BLOX
However, I myself have never experienced any sort of problem with any part from Blox.
You cannot deny the fact that Blox does produce parts that perform.
Cams, Valvetrain...even that header, which is better than 99 percent of the other knock off garbage around.
Hate all you want. Blox offers Performance for a reasonable cost, and that's business.
