pics of the ITR guys (norcalRcrew) and me from infenion
went out to the NASA HPDE/HYPDERLAME event. everything that was supposed to be soooo special about this event sucked. all the normal **** was good though.
decided to run the grippy mo fo's on saturday (kumho)
he actually wanted to go fast this weekend so he took off the commuter tires on threw on these sticky bastardeds
te37's and V700
falkens are good too
my car, chassi is EH but suspension and motor is RRrrrrrr goodness
pics from on the track, please forgive the crappness, i don't have a great big lense for zoom, and my this was my girlfriens first time ever useing a digi cam,
these were the only ones out of 25 or so pics that came out, my girlfriend defently gets an A for effort

my post in RR with a small race review and HPDE review
went to infenion this weekend for the "hyperLAME" event. well ill take that back everything that went on on the race track was awsome. but that whole thing were people TRIED to drift, really sucked spectating wise. But everything that was RR was really good, everything went smothly from my end.
Met alot of really nice people, Andrie and his wife were super nice. 95teglss, congrats man, he got his license and competed in his first event this weekend. Mike drove on Sunday, had a great start then something happened.
CONGRATS TO ANDRIE brought out the car for its FIRST race ever and cleaned house on Sunday. man o man is his car fast.
in the us touring car race there was some excitement. (Sundays race) into turn 2 (i think) Brian (WRX) and ALI (i think?? red 99-00 SI) were neck and neck into turn 2 both pitched it sideways, Brian recovered it Ali went into the wall. later in the race Brian's tranny which had been giving him trouble all day Sunday, lost all the gears, so he had to drop out early. don't remember who got first but lepper?? (the accord) got second.
My run group was always right after HC so i didn't really get to watch it much .
now for my HPDE.
on Saturday my first time out ever to infenion i was not happy, it was REALLY crowded and then my shift linkage broke about 2 laps from the end. got it fixed and was ready for session two.
went out for session two had some more fun but again it was PACKED. Unlike most events they had all of 1 and 2 together, not split into two. it wouldn't have been that big of deal but there are some really slow people out there so it made for some traffic, it was good to learn the line though.
Session 3 on Saturday i made it apoint to get some clear track time. well after coming in to hot pits 3 times i finally got some free space, and it was a blast, the back S's are super super fast and fun, well the free space lasted for about 3 laps then i caught up to traffic again.
Session 4 was much better then any previous session didn't get many consecutive traffic free laps but did get 1 or 2 here and there.
Sunday.
WWWWAAAYYYY less people then Saturday so i was already happy. session's 1 and 2 were good and fast.
had the most fun on session 3 though. I lined up right behind a 91 fairly modified RR corvette. In front of us was a m coupe and a 350 we passed them on the back straight coming into 11, and for the next 5 or 6 laps it was clear and free. it was really fun running with some one that's at your speed, after that we ran into traffic 2 laps and i had passed most of them and had a semi clear track then came in to hot pit to try and get some free space it and it worked the rest of the session was good.
session 4 i had an instructor ride along so he could see how i was doing and maybe move me to group 3. I thought i had enough gas, but vtec is killer on gas mileage. so i had to go in and fill up half way threw, then got back out there. it was good riding with him he helped me get over the fear of drifting out to the edge of 8 and that got me alot fast coming in and out of 10. he signed me off and said i should do fine in group 3, well i really would like to stay in group 2 at infenion im still not super comfortable on it yet, but at thunder hill i think im going to go group 3.

i went sunday just to watch and saw a few nice cars. Also checked out Andrie new car with the K20a.. looks very good!

man you really should have came by and said hi, i know i look scary but im a REALLY freindly guy.
the guy in the M coupe was very nice and had a very nice car but, did you look at the rear tires??? thats why he couldn't hang for **** around the corners.
also try and get that video up, i wana see it, i couldn't use my camcoder over the weekend .

It was good seeing friends again, but the event was SUCK big time. There were way TOO MANY people especially the A$$holes with high hp cars who were slow as hell and would not let you pass on the passing zones.
Maybe I should do the Sunday events from now since it seems to have less people.

non up close, it was supcharged and had some big *** mother fucken tires. and a hotlap timer, im guess he was super fast

yup. that was me. the dirty lil hatch. redstone motors decal on the rear window.
i was hanging out with my brother and his friend over on the other side of the track, where the drifting was. you can see the track WAY better over there.

im defently trying, ill have a new suspension setup by then, its just a matter of getting these GABS sold.
oooo ya we want VIDEO. i have neverheard what my car sounds like. i just got it running that friday

what suspension are you getting? looked like your car was riding good from where i was watching. nice suspension travel, no body roll.
engine sounds great, sounds badass at high rpm. sounds like you have a 4.785fd or 4.9. u even hear a 3rd gear chirp every now and then

right now i have 380lbsF and 450lbs R with a 19mm rear sway.
i was talking to a racer and told him how i couldn't put down any power coming out of tight corners, he suggest i stiffen up the dampers. i did and it helped, but it still wasn't great, so he suggested i bumb up the spring rates, and get a comptech rear sway bar. so im moving up to 450f/550r. with the comptech bar.
