Re: Our trip to the Nürburgring! (extrah)
Great pics Eirik!
We had a great trip
Here are some more pics from my cam...
Me driving on the way down:
You driving my ITR:
Both cars on a final stop for fuel before crossing the danish boarder
Short stop on the bridge between denmark and sweden... you can see far in the back... (we are still on the bridge)
Finally reached our destination... me hard-parked outside entrance to the circuit and resturant
I hiked on top of the famous fortress/castle in Nürburg, very nice view:
Extrah and Kristian "shooting cars" at Adenau Forst on the Nürburgring old circuit...
.... the american muscle they were aiming at:
.... more US powah!
Classic Mercedes 300 SL tearing up the track:
More of the mercedes:
Porsche 997 911 GT3 Cup car - sweet exhaust note... goosebumps
Ford GT race car... as Extrah says... shocking sound, extreme and raw! wow
Classic 911 RSR
interiour of the car
and the new 997 911 GT2 - fast car!
________________
The next day it was time for a 4 (or 6) hour endurance race for old race cars... very cool!
Porsches batteling at Adenau forst:
Extrah and Kristian shooting classic cars.. you can see some of the forest and Eiffel-mountains surrounding the track in the back:
Bitburger beer box to lay the camera on and macho colored plastic stools to sit on during the race... (forgot to bring along, so we poicked them up at the local supermarket)... beer and racing... life is good
Classic american muscle:
British power... even a little powerdrifting and lifting wheel
Stunning classic
interiour:

Time to visit the newer Grand prix circuit and check out the action there, to the top of this building to check out the view:
Since we visited during the "Old-timer grand prix" we hoped too se alot of old and rare cars, and indeed we did, but I didn't complaid when the entertainment in between races included showing off this Toyota Le Mans GT-1 either:
Old Can-Am race cars and such...
8,8 liter engines with over 900 hp in the small cars.. insane - brutal sound and speed
Grand prix masters...
classic formula cars from 60's and 70's mostly... great racing, glorious sound
And my favorite race was the classic DTM,-race German touring car championship from 70s-80s batteling at full throttle... the insane speed and looks of theese cars were breathtaking and awesome sounds... The BMW M1 especially.... not to mention the 911 RSR, 934, 935 etc.

More nice cars from the parking lots in the area and inside the circuit area....
the winner of the 24h endurance race - Manthey racing Porsche

Ferraris:
Alfa Romeo 8C
Cool 911

But seriously, I dig the E30 M3 as well - performance, design, driving feel and history!

Entrance area at the GP circuit.
On our way in to see the Oldtimer GP, and have some Bitburger pils!

Re: (ITRbroham)
More!
Pitlane.
From the Mercedes spectating area.
Left to right: Genuine, Kristian, Eirikoo.
1970`s F1 cars. The sound from these were awesome.
My ears were ringing the rest of the day.
I suppose these cars are pretty expensive, but that did not stop them from really pushing it.
Mosler. We saw this car hitting the Nordschleife during normal turist driving later.
Think this one is a RSR model or something. Very rare car.
McLaren SLR.
Love the graphics on this Porsche.
BMW M1
Clicky p0w!
This guy were driving around the exotics on this thing. lol
More Clicky p0w!
A couple of F430 Scuderia`s.
Lots of people gathering around this GT, when he fired it up.
