Re: (Aquafina)
Your theory does not have legit reasoning to support what you say, I have personally done a firewall swap and have not lost structural integrity whatsoever. I took tones of measurments from every angle possible, and even after the firewall was swapped, all measurements were exact and precise just like they were in the begining. Even when my firewall was completely out, I had just a strut tower bar bolted from tower to tower and had no flex at all. In the end my sub frame bolted right up with no struggle, so you fail at saying a FW swap is inferior.

not true. Honda has reverse. Haha, this is nice, good work, I have a hb project and opted not to do this because of my vagina and stuff like that. Plus it is still a usdm, not the full jdm yo. Sick tho. Im impressed. and for all the haters, muscle car rebuilds do this all the time, cutting of back halfs to do a diff rear end all that jazz, this has been done forever and its only a matter of duct tape.

Yack... the United States Post Office could use your help. Ever thought of delivering mail? Think of the amount of MILF you'd run into. Might need to put a seat with stock rails back in though.

In all fairness to Jon questioning Jack's claim that a body chop was a superior conversion I was hoping to see actually real reasoning. Perhaps a knowledgeable discussion with valid points and arguments explaining why rather than just elementary flaming.
He was rather polite in is questioning and I think it almost deserves a valid response. I personally don't see how sawing a car in half is stronger than just swapping out the firewall. I'm sure yours is as square as can be, but none the less I'm curious to hear valid answers. Rather than everybody ganging up on jon with petty insults because they would rather stick up for somebody than have a thought of their own.

My thought.....I trust Jacks work.

I realize that too, I know what jack has brought to the table and respect what he's done. I'm just saying with this claim I would like to hear valid reasoning as to why it's true. Rather than see everybody jump on jon's back with a bunch of childish flaming for the sake of sticking up for one of their own without valid arguments (in normal ITR section fashion). I know jack is a smart dude and I know I wouldn't mind hearing his reasoning so I can make some sense out of it.
If you mentally picture it it doesn't make sense at all, from sawing a car in half to just rather drilling out a few spot welds for the firewall. I know when it's said and done I'm sure both these cars are going to be as equally strong. But for the sake of that 16 year old kid reading an expert saying "this is better" and then taking the chop saw to his EG probably won't have the same precise result as jacks, that's all. So for the sake of valid and respectful conversation I would like to know.
I've been on HT for many many years with a good reputation so I don't want to jump in the middle of a flamewar or anything of the sort, but I'd have to say I'm just rather curious on the logic.

The only thing I ever saw was the power was in the A pillar. Where are the cut points? in front of the seats and the a pillar right? I can't remember.
Hear's jon's build up thread
https://honda-tech.com/zero...ge=13
advanced to page 13 where you can see the firewall is out, skip up to page 14, 15, 16, etc and see the progress... I can say that I was 100% skeptical on any sort of conversion like this, but jon took his time and did it right, and my head spun when I saw the subframe line up at every bolt without struggle. That's when I was convinced that it was a conversion that it was as close as one of these conversions could ever get.
