OT: Initial D Fourth stage : 3 & 4
If any of you catched DVD Episode 1 & 2, I think you can't wait for Episode 3 & 4!

It's a JDM cartoon about drifitng in the mountains of Japan, and if I remember correctly the hero drives an AE86/or Trueno and delivers Tofu or Noodles or some such and there's someone named Takumi as well.
Anton who is older than most of you but still trys to keep with current trends and almost bought the first 5 episodes at Best Buy a few weeks back but took advantage of a better deal on the 2nd and 3rd installments of the Matrix and is satisfied.

How many DVDs are out now? I bought the first 3 at Best Buy, but haven't bought anymore because I figured I couldn't keep up with them and I didn't want 20+ Initial D DVDs laying around the house...

yes, 2 new episodes are being released each month....this is stage 4

The battles of Initial D that are being released are remakes of the Jap. ones. There aren't news one. Because I was wondering the same thing, but since a R is a FR, odds of it appearing on Initial D are slim. All the cars on there are either RR, FR, MR. But they did have a EK or EG.....can't remember. If i'm wrong, please tell me where to get them.

ok iam an initial d fan i will let you guys now everything,first if you go to best buy and buy initial d you suck because the english versions are horrible...i watched the english versions a long time ago and i was like this **** is gay..then my friend enlightened me to the japanese versions and i watch them just about everyday..to get the japanese version you have to buy them on ebay..just type in initial d and there will be alot of stuff to look at...they started initial d in 98 or 99 i think and they have been making it ever since..it was first released on t.v. in seasons..the best thing to do is to go on ebay and buy the whole set-10 dvd's for like 70 bucks so you get each dvd wich has around 5 episodes on it for 6 to 7 bucks!..anyways as i was saying on with the rambling umm it was made for t.v. and had seasons if you buy the set you get the first season,second season,and the third season which was actually a movie-an awesome one at that..and 3 extra dvd's which include a special behind the movie scenes and a dvd with just the races-no drama- and a side sotry dvd of mako and her friend...buy the japanese version and boycott the shitty american version i have seen many of my friends turn to it because they see the real japanese version which you have to read the subtitles but its worth it because there voices arent crappy and the sound effects are awesome..
oh and yes they did an awesome job with the sounds if you buy the set the 10 disc set one of the behind the scenes bonus dvd's has footage of them making the sounds of the movie..they actually strap a recorder into the engine bay of a trueno..a s13..a r32..a mr2...every car thats in the cartoon..thats how they get the sound of each car they record the actual cars its so awesome how much effort they put into it..
they stopped making the initial d series for awhile after the movie was made and your left wanting to see more..anyways they finally got their butts up and started producing them again..seasons 4,5, and the last season 6 are being worked on in japan as we speak..season 4 is done and is airing in japan right now on day time t.v. you should be able to pic up the seasons soon..but yes definatley get the first 3 seasons because it is awesome!

my friend just ordered one and two. get this though, my brother just got his japanese white playstation2 with gt4 prolouge and initial d special stage. both games are amazing. 
edit: the best buy versions are ******* ghey. the og ones are the japanese ones that have english subs. here is a list of the movies (in order):

i am lucky, gt4 is so ****** cool. i mean amazing. even though it is kinda just a demo i still have over 30 cars or somthing like that. all the cars sound different, the graphics are amazing, and the racing physics are great. the initial d game is just like the arcade.

yea i remember the conversation between them..i thought they were just gonna release it like they did the first ones like it was a t.v. series i guess thats what project d is right? um no i havnet played the arcade or the game but i want to...
oh and i heard that the season 4 or whatever is a continuation of the movie like tak goes to race school or something and his love interest i forgot her name damnit! um it tells about her college and itsuki is still working at the gas station..please inform me! haha

her name is mogi. at the end of the movie it shows some clips of takumi and his homies doing there thing. (school, work, etc.) id really don't know anything else about project d other than that. 
in the arcade game you play takumi on akina when he is on the speedstars and you race him a second time when he is with project d. (his car has different wheels, cf, etc.)
